Your vocation should always entail what you think God wants for your life. I don’t think I ever said that the choice to remain single should be made so that one can pursue a career. One should make the choice to remain single because they believe that is what God wants for their lives. Much evangilaztion can be done in the work place so I don’t think God frowns on women having careers if that is what they are called to do. My vocation was as a wife and mother. I don’t have a career other than that at this time because nothing has come along for me that is compatible. Someone else’s vocation may to remain single. Regardless, I don’t see how any of these vocations are incompatible with receiving a college degree. My vocation, however, came early so I haven’t received a degree yet!Is that a valid choice though, to remain single so that you can pursue a career? I didn’t think such a choice would be looked on very kindly, especially for a woman.
