NO, he should NOT.
The present violence of Moslems just kind of goes to prove that Islam is precisely what THEY protest it is not. And while we need to find a a way to coexist in peace, it cannot be done at the expense of Truth. Either Islam is correct or Christianity is. The two diverge on a simple foundational question: One says that Jesus Christ is God from God, Light from Light, Very God of Very God, Begotten, not made, one in being with the Father, through Whom all things were made, the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity and the Redeemer of the world, who in His Passion, Death, and Resurection made propitiation for our sins to the honor, glory, and justice of God. The other says that He was a prophet and that it is blasphemous heresy to say that the One God had a son. One says that the path to heaven is through Christ only, the other denies it. So there’s no way to reconcile the two. We just need to agree to try and live in this world in peace and let the Holy One sort us, as He will inevitably do, into the sheep and the goats on that dreadful day when He finally calls a halt to the whole thing.
