Should women be treated as equals

Nothing could be further from the truth. When a man wanted to take a class in Women’s Studies, the instructor refused on the grounds that he was a man.

Having a diploma is something positive. Being instructed too, for men, of course but women too.

That being said, we should be carreful if some high debt is involved. And if what a woman desire is raising her children, debt is too much a burden that make the realization of that goal impossible.

I have a degree, but I am lucky enough to live in a country where the majority of students don’t contract debt thanks to a almost free university.

A man. The instructor. With no source, location, nothing!

Yeah, obviously wrongdoing on a massive, widespread scale! Call the Marines!

yawn

Who said the instructor was a man? In my example, the instructor was a woman.

Nobody did. The person wanting to take the course was a man. Apparently. The instructor seems to be female. It wasn’t Edgar, was it?

Well you need higher education to be a physician, lawyer, engineer and accountant.

By barring women from higher education, you are essentially saying that they should be barred from being doctors, lawyers, engineers, accountants, and other professions requiring higher education.

The Church does not teach that.

I’d guess that Edgar doesn’t get his yearly checkup done by Marxist sympathisers.

I wonder how these men who object to higher education for women will react when their wives will be treated by male gynecologist, obstetricians and nurses.

You know, I find this kind of trolling about as funny as faux-racist posting.
Why do u call it trolling, because you disagree?
No, because it’s ludicrously over the top and clearly designed as flamebait. The alternative is sincerity, which would be appalling.

I’m afraid this is not a kind of Sacha Baron Cohen version of CA. What you are being presented with are genuine beliefs. They are sincere. They are not pitched simply to shake up comfortable views in order to wake people up to their own prejudices.

I’m afraid that what you see is what you get. And there’s a lot of it about. You have to work a little to get it out into the open 'cos it bubbles away out of sight most of the time. It’s just good to know it’s there.

The people who hold these type of ideas get to vote. And if only half of the population can drag their sorry butts out of the house to cast their own, then there is a risk that unrepresentative and plainly absurd views will hold the day.

So should only those who are non believing atheist pro feminism people be allowed to vote?
Or are we a country that allows different points of view?

Different point of views are certainly allowed. But truly awful points of view are not immune from critique or their advocates from social censure.

I have no desire to silence people who believe women should be kept ignorant and pregnant. But I still reserve the right to express my dismay and disgust at such opinions.

The mainstream media is trying to convince you that only what they think is important should be what you think is important. And what they find worrying is what you should be worried about. Catholics need to add their voice to the public square. I have not seen eye to eye with the mainstream media for about 20 years.

As long as you realize that there are those who believe your opinions are truly awful and should be allowed to be critiqued also. ??

They’re welcome to do so. But in the case of keeping women ignorant, well, I rather think my opinion has more general traction and more social acceptance. But if you feel Edgar needs a cheerleader for illiberal and chauvinistic views that would see women transformed back into little more than chattel to be enslaved to their husbands after a childhood enslavement to their fathers, then be my guest.
