Never saw that Wallet Rosary before, but I’m getting one and a few more as Christmas gifts. Thanks for posting!

I just ordered my Fatma rosary I’m awaiting mine to come in.

You are well equipped 🙂

This string of prayer beads was assembled by a monk of the Monastery of the Risen Christ in San Luis Obispo, CA, who has since died. I like the large St. Benedict medal superimposed with a figure of the Risen Christ, which I had not seen before.

I have a similar rosary from Spain made from olive wood. A good polish will bring the beads up nicely and won’t damage the chain.

Oh, ok … that’s good to know. Can you recommend a type of polish e.g. a wood furniture polish perhaps or some other type?

@CRV

If I were you, I’d go with lemon oil polish. And then I’d very use a Q tip to apply it very sparingly. Then, I’d carefully remove any excess with a dry Q tip. Sterling silver won’t be damaged. But I’m not sure about pewter.

Then, store it in a good Rosary pouch. Keep us posted!!

Indeed I am. 😀

@Catholic361:
How would I get a wooden rosary? I like the feel of wooden beads.
I like wooden beads as well. Nearly every Catholic store online carries Rosaries with wooden beads. You might want to check out Catholic Company.

A St. Benedict Medal rosary! Awesome! Did you have it blessed with the traditional Benedictine blessing and exorcism?

These are my most used ones. I have several others around here as well that I use occasionally.

I especially enjoy looking at old Lourdes “bubble” rosaries from the 1950’s era.

There’s always sort of a nice feeling when an old second-hand rosary is repaired, used, gifted, donated, etc.?!

On a side note, I am starting to make these for parishioners our church… Paroisse Sainte Trinité (Holy Trinity parish) … so of course a Holy Trinity Chaplet is the way to go…

Hello all…I ordered an antique Rosary with the double link chain and wooden beads. I so love the old…anyway this type of Rosary was from the 1900s and made to last forever because of the chain. I shall take a pic of it when received. Does anyone of you all have a Rosary with the double link chain that you can share a pic of?

Not double link, but I have this wire wrapped rosary, which is also quite durable. It also has a trinity crucifix.

maybe I am wrong but this is not a rosary but a Divine Mercy Chaplet … But I have been wrong before 😉
