Tell that to the Olympic Shooting Team. Tell that to the millions of competitive target shooters. Tell that to the woman who uses even the threat of lethal force to stop a rapist… or a murderer.

You don’t like violence and bloodshed. Neither do I. I will never harm you, but your propsed “solution” harms me.

Coins have two sides. You see offense. I know of the offense but also see defense.

As a smoker I’m not at all bothered by people about it. Nor am I troubled by not being allowed to smoke in the grocery store. I’m honestly curious what you are even talking about.

Regarding guns, you can imagine all the utopian scenarios you like but they aren’t going anywhere. If you really don’t like them you’re going to have to go somewhere they don’t have them.

And as the other poster talked about, schools aren’t supposed to be propaganda centers but because they are I removed my son and home educated. You might like the idea of cute little robots but I don’t.

By whom? I don’t like smoke filled rooms either. Smoking outside isn’t second class.
 
I always thought it was weird how smoking has such a bad wrap but then all these fast food companies can do as they please and promote to kids and then we wonder why there’s this obesity epidemic. I think Ronald McDonald is just as bad as Joe Camel honestly.
Also I never understood why alcohol companies can advertise freely but tobacco companies can’t. Many people die from alcohol abuse or drunk driving and kill innocent people by it. Personally I think people need to mind their business. If someone wants to smoke they can smoke.

You missed the point of my post. Totalitarian governments have been responsible for more deaths than anything else. The reason for our second amendment was not for protection from criminals, but from the government gaining too much power. You should learn the facts, not just the leftist propaganda.

I’d love to see a great reduction in the number of guns in the US but this is not the way to about it. There are millions of law abiding gun owners and proportionately, much less criminals with guns.

You are talking about creating an attitude change similar to what went on with smoking but the smoking issue came about with evidence of the harm it causes. As far as I remember, schools really weren’t involved at all until maybe near the end of the attitude shift.

I can’t extrapolate a similar scenario for guns. Guns have multiple uses and only one of them is criminality. I want research and efforts applied to the criminal demographic, not the other uses. If an aversion to guns came about naturally then that’s a societal change. Our schools have enough to do to start trying to change gun culture. It’s out of their area of expertise.

I said nothing at all vulgar nor insulting. That is quite a deceitful thing to say.

You make a lot of assumptions and false accusations and the only evidence to refute you keeps being hidden by you.

Edit to add: I apologize if I truly offended you. What I stated is my honest opinion and I don’t recant but I had no intention of offendng you or anyone else. Schools propagandizing children is abhorrent to me. I’ve seen children do exactly what I said and I find it an extremely loathsome thing to do to children.
