Double-check what I wrote; I made sure to say that I don’t understand how, because this happened during the Mass, there could be no wrong-doing/faux-pas/impropriety (to whatever degree) on her part. Didn’t say she had any “malicious” intent. *I *don’t know; I wasn’t there.We’re called to live very much as Jesus did, and Jesus didn’t seem to concerned about a reverent touch. Why should we?
I see no reason not to give her the benefit of the doubt. Why should we assume she had malicious intent?
Again, the only person even close to being able to read the mind of this woman is the OP. It just smells a little “off” to me that the responses seem weighted towards minimizing the OP’s stated experience & bending over backwards to accomodate the woman’s presumed/assumed/imagined/projected reasons for her actions.
