The news article doesn’t go into details, but does mention that nearly all of the immigrants, after a short stay in the churches, will be transported to the Midwest. My guess is that some of the Midwest diocese are working with the Diocese of San Bernadino. However, I don’t know for sure.Awesome! I hope this will be an impetus for my diocese to jump in and help as well.

Then help them where they are. We don’t need to sit here and let our country be taken over economically and culturally, and we can’t let our social services continue to be drained. The only reason why this has gone on so long is because Mexico plays the race card.

Whatever. If these people were from Asian countries, the USA would have no problem deporting them, and there wouldn’t be any media fallout. It’s because Latinos have political and cultural power, that they can play the race card. Each country has a right to control who comes in and out, just like how each person has a right to control who comes in and out of his home.They are helping them where they are, that is, Southern California.
The USA has Latinos, but it is not a Latino culture like Mexico, Central America, and South America.

The Catholic Church hierarchy as a whole doesn’t necessarily have a permissive attitude towards illegal immigration,its just some of the bishops,especially in America,and Catholic social justice committees. The USCCB,or rather its committees,pretends to speak for all the bishops on social policies. Catholic social justice committees in America are made up of people with liberal and socialist leanings,and they take their cues from the Democratic Party. When the Democratic Party was pushing for government-controlled health care in 1993 and in 2009,the USCCB pushed for it as well. When Paul Ryan presented his budget plan in 2012,the USCCB criticized the plan for its cuts on welfare programs,saying that it would hurt the poor. When the Democrat Party started pushing for comprehensive immigration reform in 2013,the USCCB started doing it as well. And parish committees also started advocating for gun control legislation.Yes. I cannot accept that Democrats are the only Catholics that believe in feeding the hungry and housing the homeless. It seems more of a Jesus thing than a political thing.Catholic social justice committees in America are made up of people with liberal and socialist leanings,and they take their cues from the Democratic Party.

“There is a time for politics, and a time for prayer. Prayer should always come first. Before all action. Because we want to make sure we are always trying to do God’s will and not our own.”
It puzzles me how we can read the Sermon on the Mount & the Beatitudes and agree wholeheartedly with Our Lord: “Oh yes, Jesus, when you are a stranger in our midst, and hungry and without shelter, we will take you in!” Now when Our Lord comes to us in the form of real people in need from across the border, we become filled with fear and nationalistic pride. His words no longer apply when it really matters.

Also consider viewing the relics of Saint Toribio Romo, the priest who was martyred in Mexico in 1928 and beatified by Pope John Paul II. Many immigrants have made him their unofficial patron saint, since it seems they have no one else to turn to.

The diocese of Los Angeles is not the government.People who think the government should be feeding and housing the homeless think along the lines of socialism rather than with the mind of Christ.
And no, you do not have the correct definition of socialism. Socialism is not the belief in government aid. It is the belief that the government should exercise direct control over the economy and business and is condemned by the Catholic Church. Bishops are not socialist any more than they could be atheists. It makes no sense.
