Every day we see all sorts of injustices that make our blood boil. For example, the politician who steals from their constituent’s coffers, or our extremely litigious society.

Which social injustice irks you the most??

Abortion by far. People some where along the line got the idea in their heads that its ok to kill babies. I think its lunacy. A society that murders its unborn is a society that has gone mad.

I so agree with you. When did this issue become a feminist issue? It’s a moral issue, by far!! I think it’s an abomination that society has become so conditioned to the thought that it doesn’t seem so bad.

And talk about partial birth abortion… I am beyond outraged that this is not considered the worst form of human mutilation and suffering. It’s NEVER OKAY!! I don’t care under WHAT circumstances this innocent human being is coming into this world!!🤷 🤷

Just on a gut level, there are forms of social injustice that bother me more than others. In no particular order:

– Demeaning and abusing the environment
– Demeaning and abusing those with so-called “developmental disabilities”
– Demeaning and abusing undocumented immigrants

(There are probably others, but those are the first that come to mind.)

Abortion is first – no society that practices the assembly-line murder of the most innocent can ever be just.

The second is education. About 30% of the children who enter highschool do not graduate – and highschool dropouts are the only cohort in America that has lost ground economically in the last 20 years. The failure to give a first-class education to every child – no matter how poor their neighborhoods – is the civil rights issue of the 21st Century.

After the obvious evil of legal abortions, here is my not too well thought out, shot from the hip list.
  • Elevating a psychiatric problem to a desirable and legally defended “right”. (tolerating homosexual activities and homosexual marriage).
  • The removal of shame from women who have children out of wedlock.
  • Divorce being both easy and common.
  • Legalized pornography and porn as a civil right.

Abortion by far.

Also the idea that Homosexuality MUST be taught to our children. The forcing of the belief that it is okay to talk to 5-9 year olds about homosexuality. It really boggles my mind that there are adults out there that think this is okay.

Homosexuality as something that is taught? That is doubtful in the first place. That there would be some organized effort to teach it to our children is even more doubtful. What do you mean? And what does this have to do with social justice?

I understand how the last one could be understood as an issue of social justice, but I don’t understand how the first three are. Could you explain?

Abortion easily

Gay’s being denied equal rights

Legal pornography

Abortion
Contraception as a normal healthy way of life
Children running homes and schools

Promoting and normalizing homosexual activities is absolutely abhorrent. It is destructive to families and it is harmful to homosexuals themselves. Instead, they should be treated, like anyone else with a mental disorder.

Illegitimate children are a terrible burden to society. They are much more likely to have problems and get into trouble. Shame can be a powerful motivator. When shame reduced the likelihood of women having extra-marital sex, society was much more stable.

Divorce is is alwas terrible. While it is occasionally appropriate, it is fgar too common today. It destroys families and harms children. The number of people who get divorced for legitimate reasons (abuse, etc.) is low compared to the people divorce for less than legitimate reasons.

Anything that harms the family, harms all of society.

Actually, I would say hoplophobia is a greater injustice than homphobia – since officials who practice it violate their oaths of office.

  1. It is a blow to social well being of a moral society in that it takes moral decay and treats it as morally acceptable. Morally unacceptable activities move to degrade society through perversion. This is to the detriment of a country’s well being and society. Hence it is an issue of social justice.
  2. For the same reason as number one. Additionally it contributes to the breakdown of the family unit. It increases the preponderance of crime due to lack of cohesiveness and discipline due to the absense of fathers. It causes society to carry heavy burdens through government programs and intervention.
  3. For the same reasons as number two.

Arrogance, on every level…from the forced obliviousness I see when people pass a homeless person…to the certainty people have when they declare they’ve done nothing wrong because they’ve bought into certain rationalizations … phariseeacal pride… that’s the worst kind of injustice, to me…and the effects of it…well…just look at the cross…

Giving birth control to minors with out the concent of parents.
Abortion to minors.

Does “social injustice” on these boards just mean “things I don’t like” or “things I think are bad for society”? Because that is all I am picking up from many of these responses. 😦

Are you commenting on your own posts? I think most everyone else is responding with things they think are bad for society. If you aren’t, then stop doing that. 🤷

A social injustice is something that which deprives a person or persons of their intrinsic rights of human dignity. For this reason, abortion tops the list since it is the ultimate deprivation of human dignity by denying life itself to the most innocent among us.
