EVERYTHING has a potential to lead to sin. EVERYTHING.
All it takes is a mind that’s already a little mentally unstable, or easily influenced.

You can’t use that as a reason. You really, really, can’t. =/

A dear friend of mine, has always said that the Twilight books endorse domestic abuse as well…and I almost forgot - pedophilia :cool: Which I have found to be rather true…I found them worse than the HP books - which I admit I do enjoy.

I think it was a Harry Potter joke. Harry Potter’s normal human family was abusive to him and he made one of them puff up and float away.
 
Harry Potter books are dangerous…

I dropped one of the books on my foot and it hurt due to massive size. And those books have sharp corners! And the pages can cause paper cuts! The whole series is going to Hell. 😛

I want to see the new movie.

While Rowling’s style is not as Good as (let’s say) Tolkien’s or Lewis’s, I WILL admit she is much better than Stephanie Meyer. Stephen King (who should know about good writing) himself has said so----that Rowling is Good but Meyer is a Bad writer.

Even though I have to come to have problems with the “implications” and “life lessons” inherent in the HP books, I will admit this at least-----the Anglican Charmed Lady sure is a better writer than the Mormon writer of Overheated Teen Horror. 👍

Not to derail the thread, but I love the name. From a family of singers/musicians, although I was not as gifted as the rest. God had other plans for my talents…I just can’t find them. 🙂
