Although this is totally unrelated to the thread, i just want to say that “Quantum Leap” with Sam Beckett is the best sci-fi series on TV ever!!!Spoiler!

Twilight zone is okay, but i like the episode with the evil kid that can change the world with his mind

I suppose if they abduct a person, then they aren’t very polite, friendly extraterrestrials.
I’d like to be invited along for a ride, and visit with nice aliens. I’m betting there are nice ones out there. They can’t all be bad. Might be, I could be sitting next to one at Mass tomorrow and not even know it.

I very much doubt that aliens would in any way resemble human beings; and if they disguised themselves to appear as us, then they would be deceivers. Why then trust them?

First question: If God abducted you, took you somewhere without your permission, would you consider that immoral? If not you must assume that not all abductions are immoral; it simply depends on why you are being taken against your will.

That would be a deception indeed, and it did not happen in Scripture. It says that HE enabled the creature to speak, not “pretended to be” one.

The enslavement part might be interesting, as long as my wrists don’t have to clang together as in Robinson Crusoe on Mars. I feel like I’ve been enslaved on Earth one way or another for the past 33 years!
Not so sure if I want to participate in a vivisection. Even by aliens.
But, I intend to go off with nice aliens; the ones who keep humans as pets, or just want to have trade with us. After all, some of them really like red jello, but haven’t figured out how to make it. Some things do take rocket science, you know.

I think that you are ignoring context here. I don’t believe that you can say there is never any good reason to conceal ones identity by taking on another. I think it depends on the context and the reason why one is doing it.

And you couldn’t marry one validly as they are neither man nor woman. Even if sexuality between them and human life was possible.

Sometimes pets just die in their sleep.
My cats have it easy. I feed them better than I feed myself (since I’m unemployed now); I make sure they get all their shots and vet visits. I clean up after them (litter box). I spend time playing with them.
Best of all, they get to curl up on my lap while I stroke their fur. I’d sure like to be able to do that.

Well, of course, then, I couldn’t marry one in the Catholic Church.
But, I still might have one for a neighbor. We could have dinner together, play chess, watch Ben-Hur on disc. If they are tall enough, they could help me change the light bulbs. It could be fun.
