Source: Trump still not grasping the severity of the pandemic

Again, the President is my source, so I do suffer from the bias of using him as my source as to his opinions and actions.
What you should say as I would say:
  1. The President is my source.
  2. The President’s tweets are another source.
  3. The President’s Rally speeches are another source.
  4. The President’s Interviews are another source.
  5. The President’s Press Conferences are another source.
  6. The President’s Press Secretary’s Press Conferences are another source.
  7. and anything I forgot to mention.

Yeah we will just hand the baton over to “C’mon man” !Joe Biden. He will cure the Covid at the same time he finds a cure for cancer!..

Have you forgotten Karl Rove and Fox News meltdown when Obama won Ohio?
No comparison. Obama defeated John McCain (2008) and Mitt Romney (2012). Big deal! Trump defeated HRC, the anointed one. Winner of the left’s coveted Margaret Sanger Award. This blindsided the left. To the degree that they haven’t even come close to recovering from it. Remember the meltdowns on college campuses across the country? Cry-in rooms, Play-Doh, coloring books and the like to sooth fragile nerves of twenty something college kids? No. Your Karl Rove, Fox News comparison pales big time in comparison to the massive meltdowns the left experienced post 2016.

I agree that Democrats had some meltdowns. I also clearly remember many meltdowns when Obama was elected and again when he was re-elected. I try not to have as much of a selective memory as you, it seems.

Depends on the source. Johns Hopkins, updated today, has us much lower.

I just refreshed. Data is the same:

Oh, there are certainly going to be a lot of books about the failures of the Trump White House.
There will be. Already are. But if Trump is re-elected, there will be a lot of those books that won’t ever leave the warehouse until they’re recycled.
With respect, 7, he is constantly undercutting his own administrations’ experts’ recommendations and acting like a virus denier much of the time - how is that ‘doing all that he can do’? He held a rally in Tulsa in the middle of the outbreak and refused to wear a mask for months because it made him seem weak (in his eyes)? How is that responsible decision making?
To some it might not have seemed “panicked” if he had worn a mask all the time, but it would have to many. As president, he can’t seem too fear-ridden. FDR told the nation “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself” when he knew perfectly well (as did most people) that we certainly did have more to fear.
And it is conjectured that he contracted while in attendance at the Trump Rally in Tulsa.
Emphasis on “conjectured” because nobody knows. He had been treated very aggressively for cancer and was immunocompromised. And yet he led an active life and undoubtedly took chances with Covid. We don’t even know whether he got within six or ten or twenty feet of anybody else at the rally.

He fought off cancer and put a brave face on it, and died. He was a better man than those who want to make a pawn of him out of their hatred of Trump.

He had been treated very aggressively for cancer and was immunocompromised.
He was well passed that. His bout with cancer happened in 2004 with no reoccurances.
We don’t even know whether he got within six or ten or twenty feet of anybody else at the rally.
His own tweet says otherwise:

So is Johns Hopkins. Data is the same as I said previously.
Do you not recognize the graph from John Hopkins? Here is a bigger picture:

Well I believe he himself said it didn’t look presidential and he didn’t want to wear one around kings and dictators, or something to that effect. So it sounds more like plain old vanity. Also, he didn’t need to wear one all the time, just when he’s in close contact with others. And there’s nothing in the presidential playbook that demands that he mock other people for wearing one.

In the beginning, no one knew exactly what we were dealing with
And some would argue, still don’t! And therein lies the rub. The left media would have you believe that everyone has had this virus figured out, and for quite some time now, everyone but Trump. I hate being this cynical. But I trust the media about as far as I trust Kim Jong-un…maybe just a little less.
I agree. They are expecting President Trump to be some kind of miracle worker.
No other country has the virus figured out, but somehow the president is being
singled out and castigated because people are dying during a pandemic of a highly contagious virus and it is all his fault! Never mind they are dying all around the world.
Don’t pretend that the US is doing about the same as most other countries in handling the pandemic. As noted in a New York Times article this morning:
One country stands alone, as the only affluent nation to have suffered a severe, sustained outbreak for more than four months: the United States. Over the past month, about 1.9 million Americans have tested positive for the virus. That’s more than five times as many as in all of Europe, Canada, Japan, South Korea and Australia, combined. Even though some of these countries saw worrying new outbreaks over the past month, including 50,000 new cases in Spain …the outbreaks still pale in comparison to those in the United States. Florida, with a population less than half of Spain, has reported nearly 300,000 cases in the same period. When it comes to the virus, the United States has come to resemble not the wealthy and powerful countries to which it is often compared but instead to far poorer countries, like Brazil, Peru and South Africa, or those with large migrant populations, like Bahrain and Oman.

said none of the family, friends, or loved ones of 157,000 Americans
An argument of pure emotion, not actual facts.
No, it is not. The fact of 157,000 dying in an epidemic is a fact that is emotional, but remains a fact. It is a strong argument that this disease is not being overblown.
That’s been a part of journalism for a very long time.
It has also been a part of misleading journalism. That is why this article is not worth it. Unnamed sources could easily be liars, or telling the truth.
Didnt need a source to tell us that he doesn’t grasp it.
Rather than listening to fuzzy, questionable articles, it is better to listen to him and determine for yourself what you think he grasps. It shouldn’t be hard. He is, after all, a stable genius who uses the best words. 🤣
Surely pulling out of the WHO in the midst of a pandemic will only hurt us in the long run.
Are you thinking other countries might start thinking of the United States as selfish, insular, and entitled? More than they already do? I do not know we have a reputation left to ruin.
As of this moment, five of the first six stories in the World News category certainly don’t seem favorable to Mr. Trump…or am I missing something?
For one thing, there are more stories than that in the World News forum. When I suggest counting for yourself, I meant for yourself, as others counting for you and picking, say five and claiming there are only six stories to pick from, is misleading.

But you have given a splendid example of confirmation bias.

It has also been a part of misleading journalism. That is why this article is not worth it. Unnamed sources could easily be liars, or telling the truth.
Given the report from unnamed sources about white house going ons over the last 3 1/2 years, I am more inclined to believe it the latter( tellling the truth ).
Side Note: So far: The books that have been written so far that were negative towards trump, have also validated the reports from unnamed sources that have come out… The track record is nearly 100% on that account.

Better talk to all those governors,Dr’s Fauci and Birx ,this falls on them, not Trump
