Spanish parishes in catalonia were opened to carry out an ilegal referendum. During mass ppl countin votes. This is referendum is leaded by atheist and masons parties, communist. Who even made a proposal of taking the cathedral of barcelona off the church and use it as dance workshop and cultural issues.

Dont know what to think about the church in my country and dont know what to think of pope francis.

Well, that’s just great. Atheists, Masons and communists taking the lead once again while the Catholic Church kinda goes along with it even to the point of making a mockery of the Mass.

Anyone else wondering why the culture isn’t doing so well?
 
Some context for those who do not know what is happening with the Catalonian referendum:

“Earlier this month, some 400 priests and deacons from the ten Catalonian dioceses and religious congregations signed a declaration defending the Oct. 1 referendum, which they sent to the pope. They claim their support is moved by “the Gospel’s and humanistic values,” and pushed by their “sincere love to the people we want to serve.”
According to the text, the prelates consider the referendum to be legitimate and needed, and claim it’s in tune with the bishops, who’ve “repeatedly affirmed the national character of Catalonia.””

Miguel, here is the latest response from Pope Francis:

The last time Pope Francis publicly referred to the referendum was back in 2014, during an interview with Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia. “Every division worries me,” the pontiff began when responding to the question, “Does the conflict between Catalonia and Spain worry you?”
He went on to distinguish between independence for emancipation, as was the case of the American continent, which emancipated itself from European states, and independence by secession, which he called “a dismemberment.”
“The secession of a nation without a precedent of forced unity has to be taken with many tweezers and analyzed on a case by case basis,” he said.
There have been no official statements from the Vatican regarding the referendum in recent months, and none are expected.
The bishops of Catalonia have spoken, releasing a joint statement on Sept. 20 remaining impartial and urging Catholics to pray for Catalonia in this “delicate moment.”

I cannot find any sources in the languages I speak that back up the “counting ballots during mass” story. Can you share any?

I dont know if in english is something out there, But you have to know that here we have a nun who says pope francis baptized babies of gay couples and she hopes sometime there will be women in the clergy and that mary had sex.

Just remember Christ during his passion, where Judas betrayed him, and St Peter denied him three times. Or when the wind and waves were beating against the boat, and they went in to Christ resting and asked whether He cared that they were about to drown.

True, don’t know when but the main point I wanted to make, is as much as I respect the Orthodox Church, and I really do, I could never leave the Roman Catholic Church no matter how bad it gets because I know it’s the one true Church founded by Christ with the real presence in the tabernacle at every Church.

In the clip on twitter linked by the OP, the priest is at the lectern and appears to be conducting the choir, don’t know whether it’s during the Mass or not, either way though, the Church is not the place to be holding some kind of illegal vote, reminds me of the money changers in the Temple. Christ is present.

And in the other link by the OP, it’s said that the Mass was a phony cover for an illegal vote, which makes it even worse.

I was replying to anikins, who was commenting on a news story existing on the Priest counting votes in Mass. in a genuine Mass.

And no, I can’t find a news story yet about vote counting done in Mass.

Who am I to judge how a country determines its independence and protects its people from violence.

What’s the definition of sanctuary.

However, no one seems to have been counting votes during the celebration of Mass.

Illegal vote to some, the definition of independence to others. Historically Catalonia was independent. It is a wealthy region, economically important to Its neighbour Spain.

If it were poor, would Spanish police bother aiding the injuries to 900 voters. Or stealing the votes.

I’ve had the Catalonia situation explained to me as Catalonia being one of the wealthier parts of Spain carrying many of the poorer regions of Spain on its back for Madrid’s socialist programs. Basically, massive wealth redistribution out of Catalonia to poorer regions of Spain.

They were doing it in the Church which takes away the due respect and reverence owed to Christ present in the tabernacle. They also used the Church and Mass as a tool to deceive which is also gravely wrong.

Not neighbor though, it is part of Spain, thus they all should vote on it.

It reminds me of California wanting to break away because Trump won, it’s cheating democracy and is actually undemocratic because the rest of the Country are denied a say on a federal issue that involves and directly effects all of them.

Aiding to injuries is obviously wrong and stealing votes is just dumb, since they just need not recognize any result, since it was an illegal and unreliable vote. Miguel25 believes these allegations of police brutality are false though, so I am suspect about them too at this time. I will do some research.

The beauty of these forums is that propaganda cannot win the day, because we all can put our $0.02 in and refute it. Those propaganda machines like CNN work precisely because those who can refute it don’t get any coverage.

Did Catalonia vote in the last Spanish federal election? If so, then they are part of Spain and what they are doing now makes them hypocrites, they had a say in the rest of Spain and now they are denying the rest of Spain a say. It means they are trying to split off when the vote doesn’t suit them, and remain when it does. That’s not democratic.

It’s kind of difficult to fake video, and sound, especially when there are clips from phones and other devices being uploaded, newsprint yes, video no.

But propaganda mills get going and then the video being shown is something very different indeed.

That nobel peace prize woman in Burma is having a good crack at it.

Propaganda can still win the day in certain countries and traditions. Like NK. But that takes a bit of skill and a level of inculturation indoctrination.

But not on this forum. It’s beauty is such diversity and being able to discuss or present views in a charitable Christian manner. I really appreciate that aspect of the forum.

Brothers im not saying all is false ofc not, there are police bullies but remember they only show you what they are intrested in. You can see how commies rebels have punch police and broke their cars and polic officers in hospital. And yes a lot of allegations have been proven fake, like the raping thats stupid.

I mean this is not politics forum. Im just saying that our church the holy church dont have to disobey the goverment if the goverment says not allowed to do the voting cause according to catalonia goverment was allowed 16 years old to vote and there were ppl who vote 5 times. Adoctrination its what happens in our schools since you are a kid they start talking about sexual freedom like you are a male but not man you have to find yourself and saying that spains is catholic /fascist.

Thats my catalonia thats the our public school.

What i say church should not be in politics and less helping to do something ilegal. If church take part dont take part with commies who wellcome basque terrorist to the mayor hall and clap to him.

Church in spain is just nuts and i hope pope fracis do some about all of this.
