Why? because he attended a ceremony committing two people together to a loving relationship?
Do you think Jesus would’ve condoned this “relationship?”

He said to the woman who was about to be stoned for adultery, “Go and sin no more.

Homosexuality is a sin. That is basic Christian doctrine.

An invalid “marriage” and a relationship of mortal sin can never truly be loving.

James
Meh, I don’t understand why the catholic church is so setback on this issue, plenty of churches have approved of gay marriage.

Oh well, I know in my heart what I believe is right and I know you guys believe in your heart what is right and wrong, and I can’t change that, only god can. I also commend you guys, not for standing up against homosexuality, but for standing up what you believe god wants and commands of you.

God bless you all
🙂

Your profile says you are a Christian seeker. Well the Bible makes it very clear that homosexuality is an abomination and an affront to God and that an unrepentent homosexual will never get to Heaven.

The Catholic Church has no authority to change divine law. To quote Pope Benedict:
"Truth is not determined by a majority vote."

God bless,

James

In my experience, this has not been the case. Actually, with all of the practicing homosexuals that I once knew, I only knew one couple that had been “together” for more than a year (and I think it was maybe 5 years).

Someone else posted about their son who had been pro-choice and pro-homosexual “marriage” and later repented, becoming pro-life and very orthodox. This is also very close to what happened to me. I used to laugh at protesters outside of abortion clinics. I was very supportive of Vermont and Massaschusetts when they passed “civil ceramony” laws, that I felt wasn’t far reaching enough. This was all before I came into the Catholic Church, but I still had quite a few remaining doubts and questions, but praying that God help me bend my will to his, and not his will to mine, has helped me not only accept, but understand, the teachings of the Church. Again, I wish to echo the sentiments of “never say never”, because that’s precisely what happened to me. “I will never change my view on this”… famous last words. 😃

God Bless!

This makes me happy
Your profile says you are seeking the Christian religion. This kind of tells me that you have years of secular public belief about the ‘goodness’ of homosexual relationships ingrained into your conscience. No doubt you go to a public school where most kids get their morality from the media so it’s only easy to be led in that direction.

You are very mistaken to believe that two male bodies or two female bodies were naturally made for each other to love in the most intimate ways.

The mere ‘feeling’ of loving someone doesn’t quite cover it or you’ll likewise have to accept polygamy and incest as having a right to obtain a marriage license.

Maybe you were hangiing with the wrong crowd? There are indeed alot of homosexuals who have a ton of different sex partners, I myself know, as I used to sleep with a different guy(sometimes 2 or 3) every night, but I’m now in a committed relationship and also know many SS couples who are in a loving relationship

Love means to desire the greatest good for the beloved. The greatest good for anyone is eternal life with Christ. If someone truly loves another, he will not do anything to endanger his beloved’s salvation, such as provoke or engage in homosexual activity that is specifically condemned by Scripture and the Church. If they choose to participate in it, it is certainly not motivated by love.

First, to Teen4Christ… I have NEVER seen or heard of any lifelong SS partners. In fact, the longest relationship that I have even heard of is maybe 15 years, when the couple split and “returned” to being heterosexual.

As far as speculating on this priests’ sexual orientation, it may be the case, but where is the proof?

God Bless!

Your profile says this.
You’re 18 yrs old
(Happy BD yesterday) and this:

" … christian, very liberal, and very interested in political science.

Location: Ohio
Religion: Christian Seeker
Interests: Demanding reform
Occupation: Student"

I’ve nver heard of any Christian faith-group that allows sexual relationships to any unmarried folks. What kind of Christian do you believe yourself to be?

I know over a dozen SSM couples who have been together 15 years plus, one couple over 35. I’ve read about MANY couples who have together longer than that.

True, you don’t want to falsely accuse someone of something.

I wasn’t a christian when I was engaging in sexual intercourse, my current relationship has never gone beyond making out.

Many more are not and have no desire to be.

If we are going to talk about this situation lets at least talk honestly. I had to work way to many Gay Pride Days and parades in San Diego to believe the hyped nonsense about committed gay couples being anything more than what it is. Propaganda to try to convince us that homosexuality is just another lifestyle choice that is perfectly acceptable.

If you don’t believe me go to Youtube and check out some of the spectacular footage from the various gay pride parades worldwide. If you have never seen one, it may be an eye opener into what these people really feel, think and do. And more importantly exactly what they are trying to ram down our throats

Like heterosexuals

I know all about gay pride parades, I’ve marched before. Some of the behavior is kind of iffy at times, but it’s human nature.

I consider myself human, and I have a human nature, but I have never had the desire have unnatural relations with another man, or to wear drag and march through the streets of San Francisco. I believe that as a heterosexual male, the majority of other men would say the same thing.

Yes, it’s not the most common thing to do, but it’s supposed to represent diversity and freedom of expression.

It represents an abomination in the eyes of the very Jesus you claim to be “4.” You are confusing freedom with license.
