Sprinkled with holy water, against one's will?

I can assure you that this does not happen any more than brewers saying ‘satanic devil blessings’ over their beers and liquors so people get drunker.

I doubt most of us here have had very many encounters with drug dealers, but sensationalizing the problem only makes it seem like it could never happen to you. Reality is, drug dealers look and act just like ordinary people - and the things that draw people into that lifestyle aren’t nearly as exciting as Satanism or the occult - they’re dull things like family financial crises, or being depressed and wanting something that acts fast to make the pain go away, or even just being lonely and wanting to be liked.

Well why would you need to chase after someone to bless them with Holy Water? That’s ludicrous and a wreckless use of energy.

You simply wait until they are asleep.

They might not presently see the good in being blessed but God definitely does want to bless them, how they then respond to the grace of that blessing is their choice. People fall in love regardless of beliefs and Love, Who is Jesus, will find a way always.

Am I correct in thinking that it is wrong to sprinkle someone with holy water and attempt to bless them, when they have specifically asked that this NOT be done?

(As in, it would be wrong for a Catholic girlfriend to chase down her Pagan boyfriend and try to bless him with holy water, when he does not want to be blessed?)

Actually the spells are put on Liquor-thats why they call them spririts. Augie Busch had a spell over me for many years-such a big spell in fact when i quit drinking the had to put one of the Clysdales down…

I am going to tell a story that seemes funny now but was very scary when it happened. My dad had a wreck and shattered his Knee-cap. A friend bought him some holy water from Lourdes and he rubbed it on his knew every night. One night my brother accidetly knocked over the botte spilling it all. We were all afraid to tell him so we filled it up with tap water. I have always wondered what a crisis of faith i would have had if he rubbed that knee with tap water and got up and walked.

We told him years later and it turns out he knew it all along. He said even holy water couldnt go from a half bottle full to a whole bottle full(we werent very smart in those days).

Ditto. When I go into her room … *I’m on a mission from God…*so i have to risk life and limb. There is also a St Benedict’s medal pinned to the window-side of the curtain. She NEVER opens her curtains. Her theme is black!

Did you ever not fall asleep on someone without being in a bedroom?! I fall asleep on folks, mainly family and friends, all the time and no-one shares me or my bed. Last time was last week I fell asleep on a rowdy coach trip from the coast.

My grandparents fall asleep on me all the time, just this weekend my mother fell asleep on me and my best friend regularly takes a nap in my presence (I usually do some chores for her when she nods off like that), it happens you know when you’re comfortable around a person.

The correct response to wanting someone you know to convert is to pray for them. You don’t have to ask permission to do that. You don’t have to soak them in Holy Water (or anything else), you don’t have to sneak items into their rooms, you simply pray for them.

I don’t think it is correct to chase someone with HW like it is a weapon and clobbering them over the head as the same to chase someone with the bible as just spouting words at them, and the HW is suppose to come with prayer as Father Corapi says and there are special prayers to say and blessings too not just an admonishment but blessings as in Baptism which is what I pray for the Holy Spirit to work in His gentile way. Yes you are right, stay a way from the BR infact don’t get horizontal at all makes it too tempting.

You can drink HW it is just water but a specaial blessing added but, it is suppose to be serious matterI wouldn’t take it too lightly that the girl that puts it in your food make sure you can trust her she sounds a little bit onthe tad angry side if she is just throwing HW around like that. Our priest does this to the congregation sprinkles but only at lent and during the liturgy I’m mad when it misses me so Next season I will sit on the outside where I know I can get sprinkeled.

I don’t have much right now and I just use a little as it is the faith and prayer that makes it work on softening the heart, the rest is more faith and prayer.

I never fall asleep in public because I don’t trust people - who knows what “funny trick” they might try to do to you while you are asleep.
