Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant me that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for me, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear my plea for
the salvation and conversion of all
my children and grandchildren.

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.

Amen

I would ask for St Monica’s help all the time for my DH to leave the JWs and he eventually did. Took a while, but he is not one any more. Now if he would decide to go back to the Catholic Church…

Prayers for my husband and our marriage. We have many serious troubles and my husband seems to be resisting any conversion to the Catholic church. He is not Catholic but comes to Mass with me on Sundays. Our marriage is hanging by a thread.
Praying for all my children and their conversions to the church and their ultimate salvation.

Dear St Monica.
Please pray for my beloved husband who is struggling that he may grow closer to God every day and that I may always be the best wife I can be for him. I pray that he may receive the gift of faith and that he will find true joy and peace. I pray for all those who desire to lead their spouse to Jesus and that we will have the grace to trust in HIm that all manner of things will be well
Amen

Dear St. Monica,
I pray for my troubled husband. Please help him with the grace he needs from our Lord to step away from the shadows of evil. He is a good person, a wonderful man. He needs a shield to protect himself from temptation and evil. I love him. I want the best for him. Please intercede for his soul, that he may be saved while still on Earth and he may find Jesus. He is strayed. Please St. Monica, help me as his wife lead him to God and to His Church. Help me pray for him and help me not to give up. Please help me to be the example he needs. Our marriage needs your help, St. Monica. Help us accept our Lord’s will, Amen.

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things,

A Prayer to St. Monica, for Lost Souls

Sainted mother of Augustine the sinner, the Lord Jesus mercifully regarded your tears. The conversion of your son to a genuinely holy life was the fruit of your prayers. From the heights of your heavenly home, happy mother of your saintly son, pray for those who wander far from God and add your prayers to those of all parents who sorrow over the straying souls of their sons or daughters. Pray for us that, following your example and that of all God’s children, we may at length enjoy the eternal vision of our Father in Heaven. Amen.

St. Monica, I beg you to hear the prayers and pleas of these CAF members for their fallen away Catholic family members. Pray for us to have the patience and strength you did while petitioning a God for the conversion of your husband and son. May our prayers be joined to yours, and may God hear us and grace our families with conversion. Amen.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You!

Prayer for the Conversion of Sinners

Lord Jesus Christ, most merciful Saviour of the world, we humbly beseech You, by Your most Sacred Heart, that all the sheep who stray out of Your fold may one day be converted to You, the Shepherd and Bishop of their souls, who lives and reigns with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, world without end.
Amen.

O glorious Saint Therese,
whom Almighty God has raised up to aid and counsel mankind,
I implore your Miraculous Intercession.

So powerful are you in obtaining every need of body and soul
our Holy Mother Church proclaims you a “Prodigy of Miracles…
the Greatest Saint of Modern Times.”

Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition for the
enlightenment and conversion of heart, mind and soul of fallen
away family members and friends and to carry out your promises
of spending Heaven doing good upon the earth…
of letting fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses.

Henceforth, dear Little Flower, I will fulfill your plea
“to be made known everywhere” and I will never cease
to lead others to Jesus through you.

Amen.

Does anyone know about the St. Monica Hotel in St. Augustine FL? When my family and I were together we were in St. Augustine and it felt like heaven on earth but not for it’s worldly beauty. I am sooo drawn to St. Augustine FL. Does anyone know anything of it’s history or mystery? Why it’s named after a saint from Africa baffles me.

To mnmom, my prayers are with and your family. I too lost my job last year and have struggled to make ends meet. I am married with no little children however my two older sons often struggle and can’t turn them away so I give what I can. As for my husband and I, we keep our finances seperate and can’t understand my husband can’t afford to supporting me when I’m short in cash. I had to take a job in Houston and left him home in San Antonio to maintain our home. The distance is putting a large wedge in our marriage. Also our marriage is a unique. I’m not used to being the breadwinner and having to take care of my own financial responsibilities. We often struggle to communicate and doors to the heart have slightly closed to avoid being hurt. Well not my door but my husbands. We dated for 3 years and married for 2.

Its not easy having a family and trying your best to provide for everyone you love and trying to find some stability in this crazy job market.

So I too ask for help to keep me in your prayer. May I find clarity and strengthen my faith that God will take care of my financial struggles and help me see what is true in my marriage.

If anyone is commuting long distance for work, how do you handle the distance?

Feeling lost.
