Please pray for my husbands conversion to the catholic faith. It seems he is a hopeless case :(. We’ve been together 10 years and he no longer even attends mass with me, he used too, but is really against it now :(.

Please pray for my husband’s conversion and strength, as he battles an addiction. I pray that he will unite his soul to Jesus, desire confession, and crave the Eucharist, instead of pills.

Dearest, St. Monica, pray for my husband’s conversion.

In Jesus Christ’s precious name, I pray.
Amen.

Dear St. Monica,
troubled wife and mother,
many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.
With confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
you prayed daily for the conversion
of your beloved husband, Patricius,
and your beloved son, Augustine;
your prayers were answered.
Grant me that same fortitude, patience,
and trust in the Lord.
Intercede for me, dear St. Monica,
that God may favorably hear my plea

that I would be a better, more loving mother
to each of my children

and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, forever and ever.

Amen

please pray for my fiancè…we are getting married soon and we have been dating for almost 7 years and engaged for a little over a year…He is Catholic and believes in God but is not practicing…he doesn’t understand NFP very well and thinks its complicated and does not understand how it could work and says he would be constantly worried if we used NFP and that wouldn’t settle with him very well. I have been praying for him for so long that he will open his heart to Christ. I am at a crossroads and I don’t know how to talk with him about this all because i am scared. Please don’t judge me or think ill of him… Just please pray… I don’t know where to really turn…

I would suggest putting a halt on the wedding. I’ve been in a mixed marriage for ten years and it’s hard and sad and wears you out at times.

If your boyfriend hasn’t changed in 7 years, chances are he’s not going to change anytime soon, if ever. Please don’t get yourself in this situation if it’s making you sad and miserable now, before marriage, it will only be that much more difficult after the wedding. And it’s permanent. No turning back if it gets too hard, no getting out. Not to mention this all is not going to be a good situation for your future children. Please at least postpone the wedding, and truly think if you want this situation as is (cause it’s not likely to change soon–if ever) for the rest of your entire life.

I know you think you are in true love, but is it going to be strong enough to endure a lifetime, not loose your faith, raise the kids Catholic by yourself?

It’s WAY harder than you imagine to be. Please think this through, delay the wedding, and talk to a good priest about it.

Prayer to St. Monica

Lord Jesus, you were moved by the prayers and tears of St. Monica
and you gave the grace of conversion to St. Augustine your son.
Touch our hearts and convert us from fear to love,
from sickness to health and from conflict to peace of mind.
Bless all mothers, living or dead, known or unknown,
married, single or widowed.
May our lives draw others to love you.
Lord, it was at your altar that Saint Monica wanted to be remembered.
May we also have the heart of St. Monica to persevere with faith in all our trials.
Amen.

St. Monica, pray for us!
