I’m beginning to wonder if any of us here on this forum are great. Christians the eyes of God. I’m taking a break beginning Ash Wednesday. Stressed out anxious and angry by the non stop Trump bashing.I also don’t like the person I become when I’m responding either.
I’m actually a very pleasant and nice person when Im not on this forum😳

We aren’t talking about abortion right now.
Hypothetically you could have Satan, pro life, Satan in every other way.
Satan would be the guy?

I’ve often wondered how we would treat each other if we were all actually sitting in the same room together.

Trump a tyrant? Nah, I have seen FAR worse. He is mild to some people I have known.

t. Ex-fascist

inb4 muh nazis, realize I have Autism, WHICH means I can be very naive; I and others CAN be very trusting to a fault. But i know idelogy in general puts man above God. And I will not be voting for a Democrat. NONE of them are even in the slightest be devout in faith. Simply by being pro life, Trump has won my vote. The Democrats can’t say the same. So NO, Trump is not wicked as you make him out to be. I have seen wickedness. Trump, though imperfect, is FAR superior to anything Democrats can offer.

You were saying how wrong it was of Trump to criticize Pelosi’s religious affectations. Following on that, I said it makes me sick, especially when she uses Catholicism to defend abortion. Don’t you lawyers say that if one opens a subject in court one has to live with the response? Something like that anyway?

I almost suckered you in, I see.

No, great Christians are thin on the ground.

I too am sorry if I ever cause you stress. Consider one point though. Your post here is a lesson for all to temper their tone to avoid offending our family. Of course it is hard and I hope I do not sound like I am judging anyone here. If this country is ever to be united again, I have to think it will be because people of faith are willing to build the bridge we need between the left and the right, that bridge being Jesus. We do not have to be a theocracy to recognize the morality of the Golden Rule in our dealing with each other.

Retribution, revenge, declaration of hatred of others and a declaration that the prayers of others is inauthentic.
In a prayer meeting in just the past few hours.
I am sorry it bothers me to hear these things described as Christian.

On the contrary, I would guess that you’re an okay Christian, just one who struggles with regular life and emotions as the rest of us. I would bet that if we all met in real life, we’d get along a lot better than we do here. I think that forums like this where people are hidden behind fake names and identities brings out the worst in us. Without being proud, I think I’m an okay Christian, although far from perfect, but one who has faith in my Savior and would really like to do better than I do.

I agree. I also think that a two hour in person discussion among all of us who regularly post here would end with a lot of agreement.

You won’t offend me but thanks for the thought.
If I seem emotional, it is because without watching his speech, not an ounce of humility. Blame, hate and retribution for others, he is a victim, and he will continue with Rudy in Ukraine. I am worn out by that pathological rhetoric I admit. And disappoint so many find it endeering

He is FAR more Christian than many people I knew. Do not be concerned with him. WHAT SHOULD concern you… is that there are a growing number of LARPers coming to the faith. What do I mean by LARPer? Well, you see, there are a large number of youth looking for tradition, and many end up joining extremist ideologies, like fascists and communists; Communists, to destroy the faith, fascists, to hijack it for their purposes. THE BIG PROBLEM, is that they bring their ideologies with them. Many of them see the Church, YET they miss the VERY point of the Church, which is God. SO, you are possibly going to see A LOT MORE ideologues. They are only interested in the culture. Many don’t believe in God, and see it as more of a “cultural vehicle” as I put it. I remember someone telling me they married a girl who was catholic, and he was an actual National Socialist, and was getting bored with it and wanted something new

Steve Bannon at the Vatican.
I would agree you point out a problem also.
I have to say I don’t want," many people you know," as president either

Confident and a lack of humility address two different things completely. That of course is CATHOLOCISM less the triumphalism that creeps in from somewhere

To me, humility is to admit that you can’t accomplish things without the help of others, particularly God. I can’t think of a time where Trump invoked God as his source of strength. That’s a weakness in my mind. A person can be confident and be humble. I don’t see that in him.

Okay true, Rush was not the originator, but he is easily accessible to everyone five days a week. Fact is, he’s the most popular radio host, possibly the most popular political commentator. Especially if you consider he produces three hours a day, basically a solo monologue, five days a week for thirty years. Who else has produced this much content that is eagerly consumed by a huge number of people.
