I think it should be dedicated to the martyrs for Jesus Christ.
It seems that there is no proof that martyrs died there, although for a while there was some regard.
In the Middle Ages, for example, when the sanctuaries of the martyrs were looked upon with so great veneration, the Coliseum was completely neglected; … Thus in the Middle Ages no tradition existed in Rome which associated the martyrs in any way with the Coliseum; it was only in the seventeenth century and in the manner indicated, that it came to be regarded with veneration as a scene of early Christian heroism. Indeed, little attention was paid by the Christians of the first age to the actual place of a martyr’s sufferings; the sand stained with his blood was, when possible gathered up and treasured as a precious relic, but that was all. The devotion of the Christian body centred wholly around the place where the martyr was interred.

Time to knock down the Parthenon. Maybe the Taliban were on to something.

Yours may have, mine included annointing.
Good day to you.

Again this is the demon of abortions.

Again , we need to start listening to our Church appointed and employed exorcists

Please do NOT assume others are making the points in conversations external to you, you assume are being made. Listening comes first.

Good etiquette - we all need to take that splinter from our own eyes first, as Jesus teaches us. Before we preach etiquette , good or poor , to others. Whether online or in real life

You raised an excellent question
You asked What do exorcists have to do with this?
Exorcists actually meet these demons during exorcisms. The regular Church appointed exorcist who is also the Parish Priest.

Demons dont care if the setting is religious or secular. They just care to ruin souls and have people worship and idolise and reject God.

And of course this demon likes the runs on the board for abortions, the modern day child sacrifice.
The USA Bishops just stated this is the number one concern atm.

I see a lot of vague statements about demonic influence and Bible quotes but I’m not seeing what posters want the Pope and Bishops to do about this supposed problem.

When and in what circumstance should they be making statements?

Again, do we take Apollo out of the Vatican?

I think a lot of folks would have a problem with Rome pulling out every statue or representation of a pagan deity.

And the Pope’s secular influence ends at the walls of the Vatican. Italy is a secular state and may do as it chooses with state-owned properties like the Colosseum.

As to exorcists, it strikes me that the Church has a few of them that, over the years, have made quite a name for themselves declaring everything from pagan representations to Harry Potter as being demon-influenced. I don’t see these exorcists having much sway inside or outside the Church. I doubt Francis wakes up every morning sweating because there’s probably a thousand statues of Zeus buried or on display in Rome.

Feanor2 . . . .

Do you think there will be idols to false gods in Heaven?

(Before you ask the obvious follow-up question of me, just answer this one first.

THEN ask that obvious follow-up question to me that I pretty much know is coming.)
