I can understand what you are implying. However, the foundation goal remains to destroy Catholicism because it is the one main obstacle to a variety of secular agendas. One does not really have to end all forms of religion. All that has to be done is to get religious people to cave regarding basic truths. The movement to change Catholic doctrines so that they comport with secular views is a good example.You give them too little credit. Why stop at Catholicism? The goal is to end all forms of religion and make us a nation of atheists.
