Our Lord knows what is in my heart, and that is all that matters to me. The Holy Spirit is my conscience and guides me. This is what matters to me.
So when the Church, who is definitely guided by the Holy Spirit, says something contrary to what’s in your heart, which do you go with?

Thinking for yourself is good, I wish most of society did that but instead they’re brainwashed by all sorts of destructive agendas, despite the truth smacking them dead in the face.

Sad world we live in.

That is your opinion which you are entitled to.

The part about the Church being guided by the Holy Spirit, who is infallible in regards to faith and morals, and who’s existence of 2,000+ years worth of knowledge is infinitely more wise than our own, is definitely not my opinion however.

But that’s exactly what my opinion is based on. I think I’ll go with that versus 40 year old, fallible, imperfect human minds who have not withstood any test of time or persecution whatsoever. 😃

We all hear from the Holy Spirit…who speaks to us accordingly…individually. You can stop baiting me now. 😃

There are some people who continuously look for conflict. Walk away; the battle they are fighting isn’t with you, it is with themselves.

Let’s make a campaign to let kids know that it’s wrong to bully straight kids. As a straight kid, I was bullied a lot. No one should bully a straight kid. So let’s make sure that straight kids don’t get bullied anymore.
Bullying caused a very dear friend of mine to commit suicide, and as such I hope what you meant to say in the part I bolded was "let’s make sure we teach everyone to respect and defend everyone’s innate human dignity so that nobody gets bullied anymore.

I despise anyone intentionally bullying anyone, straight, gay, celibate, white, black, Asian, Latino, Indian, Arabic, Jew, Catholic, Protestant, Atheist/Agnostic, man or woman, old or young.

I get the point, but the fact is that same-sex attracted kids are often bullied specifically because of their sexual orientation, whereas kids with healthier sexualities are not** (unless of course they are falsely believed to be “gay”) **
To some extent there is a kind of philosophical innocence in this. .
The bullying you can suffer for being falsely believed to be gay is downright horrible and I should know. In sixth grade there was this eighth grader who for whatever reason thought I was gay --perhaps its that my voice had yet to deepen and perhaps its because my hair cut was a bit long and I had a very fair face – and well lets just say every other school day that year was purgatory. So anyway, the first day of middle school this bloke asks menacingly “are you a boy or a girl.” So began a year of hell, oh and did I mention that I had gym at the same time he does which resulted in the unfortunate consequence of me having to share a locker room with this bloke. So he and all his friends – why the hell do bullies always seem to have big and thugish friends just like them – call me gay guy every time they see me. They threw things at me in the locker room (pencils and what not) and they called me the f word and gay guy. Gym class was horrible. By the spring of that year I had – to varying degrees of success – managed to work on my timing and get dressed and into the sixth grade gym before these brutes entered the dressing room so I could avoid them. Seriously, a good day in gym class was predicated on them not being there. Well in May of 1995, I time my exit from the locker room perfectly and ran right into my main bully, yes I literally ran into him, as he is walking into the door. For the next three minutes I apologize profusely because I knew something very bad was going to happen to me. However, nothing does. . . . yet. So, I went into the sixth grade gym and think the danger has passed. Well, suddenly I see this blur and oh **** its him with hand clenched into a fist and arm extended and the beast is running at me at full speed. Well I duck and he breaks my nose. The next thing I know blood is gushing everywhere. That day my principal is asking me why I didn’t say anything about this bullying earlier, and I told her that I didn’t think she’d do anything to stop it.

Because of the bullying I went through in sixth grade, and losing a girl who was very dear to me because of bullycide I have to say that absolutely nobody should be bullied.
