QUOTE=ben182;1571811]I think that she’s probably been so used to working in a relatively controlled and studied environment(recording and film studios) that the heckler thing just got to her. She is a perfectionist. Plus I read that they were recording the New York performances for a CD. The heckler probably got into the way of her performing. Of course now they’d need to put some R-rating to that CD if they release it with the bomb.
Personally, I wasn’t surprised that she used the F-word. I enjoy following on her interviews and stuff (though I don’t buy her merchandise as often anymore). In a recent interview, she said that F— was her favorite curse word. Well she went to say more than that. But then again, I guess she didnt realize that not everyone knew that about her.
I also didn’t think it was fair of her to impose her political views on people who were there to hear her sing>ardless of their political stand. People paid money to see her perform…
I was trying to edit the comment above when my computer just froze. Anyway, what I wanted to say was that “People paid money to see her perform…not to hang into every whim or point of view of hers.” I like listening to some of her work but, if I were a Republican, I wouldn’t like it myself if someone expected me to pay so much money and forced me to listen to her political point of view for the sake of “charity.” It doesn’t sound very charitable, in the first place, to expect others to give money contrary to their beliefs or without setting the expectations before selling the tickets. Not all of her fans are die hard or hang on to her every word. It’s enough that they wanted to see her. As much as I’ve enjoyed her music, she was pushing the envelope too far even for her own sake.
Well, nothing more to say…the message seems clear in this thread.
