Maybe they got a piece of it right that the Catholic church either abandoned or put on the back burner.

Feed_me I take it you are one who does not believe the Catholic Church is the original church established by Christ nearly 2000 years ago. If this is true i understand what you are saying and sympathize with you as it must be difficult to hold this position as it would mean the following:

Christ would have abondandoned His Church his own body, not only the invisible “body of Christ” as you probably only consider church to be but also His visible body. I know it is hard to understand but think about the 1st century Christians who also couldn’t believe that the physical body of Jesus was the Christ for them to feel, touch, talk to… It must be very difficult to reconcile to those you disciple and not have the physicalness of Christ to show them that only the 1st centuries Christians had and no one else. Christ’s body is ever-real, ever-living, and ever-present to those who seek Him. It must de difficult to have only the invisible Christ and not the visible Christ also to cling to.

May the peace of the invisible AND visible Christ be with you!!!

Its not. I already know that Christ established the Church 2000 years ago, but some stuff that the Catholic Church has put on the back burner from its establishment till now the protostans(at least some) have been keeping up on.

Could you answer this for me or anybody, why is the increase in the need for exorcisms on the rise yet the Church doesnt have enough trained priests to do it? Why is the Church having to play catch up?

Which “church” are you referring to now?

Peace!!!

I used to think there were doctrinal contradictions in the Bible, but there really isn’t. That said, there are a few contradictions which make me question authorship of some books, or make me think of the Bible as less authoritative. Prime example would be John having a completely different account of Peter than the synoptic gospels, and how Yeshua found his Apostles. Not doctrinally significant, but different enough to make me question the claim of who authored Matthew and/or John. It doesn’t affect my faith though.

You think the Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses and Oneness Pentecostals got a “piece of it right”?

What did the Catholic Church abandon or “put on the back burner”?

And what might that be?

What evidence do you have that the need for exorcisms is on the rise?

What evidence do you have that there are not enough trained priests to do them?

The needs of the world have always outpaced the church, as Jesus said “the poor you will always have with you”. The Church has never been able to meet the needs of all the world, and in that sense, we always “play catch up.”

Why do you think there is a need for more exorcisms? Why do you think there are not enough trained priests? Did you apply?

Why do you think the church never has enough resources to meet the needs of the whole world?

The Catholic Church
This seems to be an odd request coming from a non-Catholic about the Catholic Church.

As guanophore has asked, what evidence do you have this is the case in the Catholic Church? I am unaware of this failed ministry, at least in the Catholic Church where Her adherents seek this healing.

Surely you are not putting the full onus on the Catholic Church for non-Catholics. Can we turn the question around? It there a need for exorcisms outside the Catholic Church and who would be responsible for them?

Granted, the Catholic Church does take the full responsibility even for non-Catholics, but even the pope doesn’t have that kind of “power” to make people seek Jesus’ healing in the Catholic Church.

Peace!!!

you should already know the answer to that question.

So based on these articals i would say the answer to your question “why does the Catholic church have to play catch up” is like the articals say, there is an increase in need. :man_shrugging:t3: Not suprising to me in this day and age.

What is your church doing to help in this situation? Or do you assume it is only needed within the Catholic church?

Peace!!!

Idk ill ask my parish priest when he isnt too busy running 2 churches along with all the other backlog of stuff he has to do.

Only contradictions are those that are in ones mind. Look at the big picture, not the single frame!
