I don’t think the Apostles would have ever dreamed that Jesus was…Abraham, Krishna, Zoroaster, Moses, and Buddha.
But the Baha’i Faith isn’t saying that it’s foundational teachings come from the Sacred Tradition of Apostolic Succession…

Which Apostle used the word “consubstantial”?

.

As its mentioned in the beginning of 65 “In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets” In the Book of Hebrews it states the priesthood of Jesus. Hebrews 7:20-24
20 Now the former priests became priests without any oath being sworn,

21 but this one with the swearing of an oath by him who said to him, The Lord has sworn an oath he will never retract: you are a priest for ever;

22 the very fact that it occurred with the swearing of an oath makes the covenant of which Jesus is the guarantee all the greater.

23 Further, the former priests were many in number, because death put an end to each one of them;

24 but this one, because he remains for ever, has a perpetual priesthood.

So with that why would there be any need for it to change? As such, the prophetic message of the coming of the Messiah and the salvation of humanity is done. When God speaks as definitively as was done as Christ, the central message of the Messiah’s message: salvation, is complete. Why would God send a lesser messenger after God the Son Himself for this specific mission?
I still don’t see any evidence for God not to speak again.

Humans will forever require divine guidance on the application of spiritual matters to increasingly complex human affairs.

Lumen Gentium and Nostra Aetate is evidence of the Church’s attempts to do this. The teaching contained in these dogmas were not Church teaching several centuries ago.

The Church is trying, but God has spoken authoritatively and in fullness in the form of Baha’u’llah’s Revelation

.

Catechism of the Catholic Church
66 "The Christian economy, therefore, since it is the new and definitive Covenant, will never pass away; and no new public revelation is to be expected before the glorious manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ."28 Yet even if Revelation is already complete, it has not been made completely explicit; it remains for Christian faith gradually to grasp its full significance over the course of the centuries.

67 Throughout the ages, there have been so-called “private” revelations, some of which have been recognized by the authority of the Church. They do not belong, however, to the deposit of faith. It is not their role to improve or complete Christ’s definitive Revelation, but to help live more fully by it in a certain period of history. Guided by the Magisterium of the Church, the sensus fidelium knows how to discern and welcome in these revelations whatever constitutes an authentic call of Christ or his saints to the Church.

Christian faith cannot accept “revelations” that claim to surpass or correct the Revelation of which Christ is the fulfillment, as is the case in certain non-Christian religions and also in certain recent sects which base themselves on such “revelations”.
Thank you, this isn’t Heb 1 but it is good evidence that the Catholic Church is practicing progressive revelation which the Baha’i Faith agrees wholeheartedly with but only through an Authoritative Revealer of Gods Word.

There was a time when the Church, similar to the Rabbinic Order, did have divine authority to teach, but as the Rabbinic Order and Jewish Apostolic Succession was succeeded by an Incarnation of the Word, history has again repeated itself today.

The church still has authority. As per Christ’s promise.
There will always be pretenders.

XXIV: Beware, O believers in the Unity of God,…

Beware, O believers in the Unity of God, lest ye be tempted to make any distinction between any of the Manifestations of His Cause, or to discriminate against the signs that have accompanied and proclaimed their Revelation. This indeed is the true meaning of Divine Unity, if ye be of them that apprehend and believe this truth. Be ye assured, moreover, that the works and acts of each and every one of these Manifestations of God, nay whatever pertaineth unto them, and whatsoever they may manifest in the future, are all ordained by God, and are a reflection of His Will and Purpose. Whoso maketh the slightest possible difference between their persons, their words, their messages, their acts and manners, hath indeed disbelieved in God, hath repudiated His signs, and betrayed the Cause of His Messengers.

You believe Christianity has it wrong?
Christianity is striving to find Truth.

The concept of WHO is saved has changed, for example, over the centuries.

Today, it almost complies fully with Baha’i teaching…almost, but it wasn’t always so.

Today the plan of salvation includes those outside the Catholic Church on earth, this wasn’t always the case.

Thank you. Authority is only “till the end of the Age”, not for the duration of the earths existence.

The fact is… this Statement by the CCC… Nail it, there is no way of getting around it.

Lol

So you want the Church to say that the Catholic Church CAN ACCEPT such revelations??

It’s like a Jew saying “I CAN ACCEPT Jesus as the Messiah”…as soon as that happens he ceases to be a Jew.

.

True… you got it !!! 👍

Oh I’m quite sure thank you.
Someone from 100 years ago would have cars, fridges, planes, metal ships, telegraph, telephones, film, radio, machine guns, flushing toilets and a thousand other things that someone from 100 years earlier would not have had.
How about 200 years ago?? (Maxwell Smart says to himself - I missed it by that much)

You are entitled to your own opinion

For me… I don’t believe in islam or the baha’i faith

Who,will Christ accept and reject on the last day?

mt.7.21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. mt.7.22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? mt.7.23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Good reply, as ypu can see we practice what is preached:D But we need a Koran Verse 😉 👍

May be

“We have appointed a law and a practice for every one of you. Had God willed, He would have made you a single community, but He wanted to test you regarding what has come to you. So compete with each other in doing good. Every one of you will return to God and He will inform you regarding the things about which you differed.” (Surat al-Ma’ida, 48)

or

“O, Mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is the one who has piety.” (49:13).

14 to do all that you have been told, with no faults or failures, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 who at the due time will be revealed by God, the blessed and only Ruler of all, the King of kings and the Lord of lords,

Revelation 19:16 On his cloak and on his thigh a name was written: King of kings and Lord of lords.

(Sahih-Al-Bukhari Bk 73; Num 224) Mohammed said, “The most awful name in Allah’s sight on the Day of Resurrection, will be (that of) a man calling himself Malik Al-Amlak (the King of kings).”

This is from Private Revelation :

Blessed Anna Maria Taigi (1769-1837 A.D.) who was Beatified by Pope Bendedict XV in 1920.)

”God will send two punishments: one will be in the form of wars, revolutions and other evils; it shall originate on earth. The other will be sent from Heaven. There shall come over the whole earth an intense darkness lasting three days and three nights. Nothing can be seen, and the air will be laden with pestilence which will claim mainly, but not only, the enemies of religion. It will be impossible to use any man-made lighting during this darkness, except blessed candles. He, who out of curiosity, opens his window to look out, or leaves his home, will fall dead on the spot. During these three days, people should remain in their homes, pray the Rosary and beg God for mercy.”

“All the enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown, will perish over the whole earth during that universal darkness, with the exception of a few whom God will soon convert. The air shall be infected by demons who will appear under all sorts of hideous forms.”

This is a great comparison and this has been explained by the Pen of Baha’u’llah

It is like the Woes of Revelation.

Thus the Word of God is just that, it is the most dreaded thing that the unbelievers can imagine and it is a fact that at these times the unbelievers are actually the Believers at the time of the Revelation.

Funny how it works and we keep doing time after time!

Let’s just say for arguments sake.

That everybody on earth accepted each other’s beliefs I mean their Prophets.

Just try and imagine it. What would happen? Would we have world war 3 or world peace??

If we accept all the human race as our equal brothers and sisters what would happen?

Would we have a catastrophic war or would we find unity and harmony?

Doesn’t Jesus tell us to love even our enemies?? Doesn’t that include all religionists?

What would be the harm in accepting each other’s religions?

Why can’t we put aside our differences. A catholic or Buddhist can accept each other what would be the harm in that?

The world is turning tiwards ungodliness because there is so much disunity and conflict between religions.

Unless religion can show it has use in this age humanity will put it away and that’s what’s happening we need unity amongst religionists if we are to convince people to turn back to God.

Can Islam accept the teaching about God as the Catholic Church has defined them ?
