Maybe these people are following the false Prophet and prophets and false Christs that Jesus himself has warn us about
Exactly Jimmy that’s why the need for a fresh outpouring of God’s grace from on high - the New Jerusalem with a new name to replace and renew the old, corrupt and worn out shibboleths.

Now you’re talking!

If all humanity really had God wouldn’t that be reflected in the outside world?

Gods words are not that weak he “needs for a fresh outpouring” of his grace. It was spoken once and for all …for everyone

Dear Jimmy,

As civilisation advances and our world changes we need new teachings and laws for the new age and its unique problems and challenges.

How do the different religions, races, nationalities and cultures which have become mixed due to technology, how do they live in peace? There is nothing in the Quran or Bible. No guidance for our age. It was left for Baha’u’llah to do that. That’s why Christ had to return.

The only religion to address our age with teachings like the oneness of mankind and the oneness of religion and equality between men and women comes from Baha’u’llah.

Baha’u’llah gave us the true meaning of the verses in the Quran and Bible so we have authoritative infallible interpretations which scholars and professors do not have.

The Book of Certitude explains Biblical and Quran prophecies with authority and is the Word of God explaining the meanings so we can be sure they are infallible and true.

Since the thread topic concerns the Qur’an I was thinking of recommending a text Thomas Jefferson’s Quran by Denis Spellberg.

A Muslim member of Congress took his oath of office on the very translation of the Qur’an owned by Thomas Jefferson.

The story about that quran goes back to the First Barbary War and I’ll add this bit of history…
"The United States was paying this tribute also. This bothered Jefferson. It just so happened that while he was an ambassador in France, Jefferson met with John Adams (then the American ambassador to Britain) and together the two men met with the ambassador from Tripoli (one of the North African Muslim pirate countries). Jefferson and Adams sat down to talk with this man. They asked him why Tripoli attacked ships. Why attack the United States? They had no previous interactions. Why the hostility? Why did they choose America as an enemy?

The Tripoli Muslim ambassador was very straightforward. He said, basically, “That’s what we do. We are commanded to do so by Allah.” Jefferson later wrote that the Tripoli ambassador told him, “It was written in their Koran that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman (Muslim) who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to Paradise.”

Completely taken aback by this revelation, Jefferson decided to look into the matter further, and did the one thing everyone should do: He read the Koran. He learned what Islam was about.

And when he became president, he expanded and then mobilized the United States Navy to protect American ships from Muslim piracy and then sent Marines to the shores of Tripoli, who soundly defeated the Muslim warriors. This brought an end to the “Barbary Coast Pirates.” This was the first foreign war fought by the U.S. and military aggressiveness of Islamic countries remained contained and weakened for over a century.

There’s also differences of English translations of the Quran which have deficiencies.

In controversial matters though, cross referencing a number of English Quran translations will show a clearer picture and clear up the misunderstanding.

Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life**. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Hi Techno,

Just received delivery of a Quran translated by the first western woman!!!

There is a controversial passage in sura 4:34 which speaks about wife beating but the word DARAB in Arabic has over 100 definitions one of them is to separate or go away from. So if a wife is nagging then vindictive and vicious it states not to beat her but ignore her and go away and not to harm her.

And Muhammad never beat His wives so it’s more accurate I feel.

You can’t get to the Heavenly fatherland through Muhammad.

You believe technology trumps the word of God?

That’s very kind of you. I don’t deserve it though as I’m a sinner.
I desire trust from My creatures. Encourage souls to place great trust in My fathomless mercy. Let the weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach Me, for even if it had more sins than there are grains of sand in the world, all would be drowned in the unmeasurable depths of My mercy. (1059)

Say unceasingly the chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy. I desire that the whole world know My infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy. (687)

You believe technology trumps the word of God?
No not at all Jimmy.

Only that we have to acclimatise and adjust to the new paradigm technology has created.

Because of technological advances, our cultures, races, religions and nations are brought close together like a neighbourhood. So there conflict and friction. How do we address that?

So for instance, which religious code does a multicultural society follow? Which laws are best for a multicultural world?

Muslim laws won’t suit many and Hindu and maybe some Christian laws won’t suit others just for example so how do we address that? We’re talking about now not next year.

So what will be the foundation of these societies as they all have religious people in them?

It was left for Baha’u’llah to do that. That’s why Christ had to return.
If the writings of Baha’u’llah caused extreme confusion with people on this small forum, what do you think would happen if it was offered to the world as a new religion for everyone to follow ?

Hi Techno,

I humbly apologise.
