If it doesn’t come from the Quran then Muhammad didn’t say it!!

Only the Quran is the Word of God not Hadiths or sayings of Muhammad collected after His death.

It should also be remembered that many Hadiths were written by enemies of Muhammad to discredit Him.

The Quran does not support Hadiths

[31:6]* Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless Hadith, and thus divert others from the path of GOD without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution.

Would that make the quran and/or the hadith irrelevant in this day and age?
Yes - The new Laws revealed by Baha’u’llah in the Kitáb-i-Aqdas are now the Standard set for Mankind. bahai.org/library/authoritative-texts/bahaullah/kitab-i-aqdas/

The Equality of Men and Women now applicable to mankind. The guidelines for that equality firmly set.

On of the Guidelines is that if a Couple have two children, one a Female one a Male and they can only afford to educate one child, then it is the Female to take priority.

This is because the Female is the First Educator of a newborn.

I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly.

This doesn’t seem any fairer than the old system, it’s just replacing the subordinate person. The colonial system in Africa was like this, the Europeans would make one tribe overlords over all the others, now retaliation occurs when the forced system is overthrown or withdrawn.

Is this a Baha’i belief ? Info I’ve found supports muslims using the hadiths. Why would it be so widely used throughout the muslim world

What’s the Bahai view of Yogananda? He was born about 6 months after Baha’u’llah died. He claimed to be Christ’s 2nd coming and all kinds of Baha’u’llah like claims, some claiming even more divine attributes.

As far as I know Yogananda did not claim to be the second coming of the Christ himself. He did say that second coming was not an actual return of the Christ himself but that ‘the true Second Coming is the resurrection within each of us of the Infinite Christ Consciousness’.

Others who have actually claimed to be the Second Coming are Ghulam Ahmad and maybe Meher Baba.

My view would be at the time of a Revelation from God, that a fresh impulse before the event and immediately after the event is infused into the world.

Those people that have a greater Spiritual connection thus pick up on the revelation and in various ways tell Humanity about it. Thus as to each of their 'Stations" this would depend upon their recognition of the source of their inspiration.

The Baha’i view of Yogananda would be He did not have a direct Revelation from God,. thus to me his inspiration that produced fruits, would have resulted from the revelation of Baha’u’llah.

This is a very good point you make Syro, and there is a valid reasoning for this Law but it is outside of the confines of this thread.

Not sure why the other one got deleted

Hi everyone,

Just to add something for the cause of women’s rights I’d like to quote this from the Bible.

I know it’s mentioned in a few places which seems to show God’s objectivity where the sexes are concerned and which sex He favours the most???

ACTS 10:34

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that** God is no respecter of persons:**

To me that sums it up in a nutshell that God doesn’t discriminate (against women like we do)

Don’t know about women priests though that’s another subject.

But the first Muslim martyr was a women and a women A’isha is known as the Mother of Islam. So Islam does exalt women but we all could do more.

Instructions for Christian Households

21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

Ephesians 5

Thanks Techno that was nice.

What do you think about this?

For centuries man has ruled society and for thousands of years we have had wars and aggression. What if women were to have a chance? Would women so easily send their sons whom they reared so lovingly to go and be killed on the battlefield? It seems all these battles are fought by men. And started by men. Even where there’s a women leader the majority of cabinet are still male.
