Hi Moe,

I am so glad that Amanda had a great B-day.

We will be thinking/praying for all of you on the 20th.

Peace,
Mary
**Yes she did have a wonderful Birthday - she deserves it. The 20th will be hard … but God will be good and I have a mass being said for her at 12:15 which many of us will be in attendance. Many friends / family who will stop and come and be with us - although it will just reopen the scab of sadness for them.

We are truly blessed Mary …

Thans for everything my friend at CAF!!!**

Dearest Moe,

Offering up my severe headache pain for you today. I’ve been in bed all day. I hope this helps just a tiny bit.

much love!
**Oh my friend, I sure wish you didn’t have to endure that pain.

Have you thought about accupuncture (spelling)???

Thanks so much for your sacrifice … and prayers … love Moe**

Moe,

I would like to tell you my story. I spent my entire adult life as an atheist. But on a fateful day in 2003, that changed. I stopped at an automobile accident to offer first aid. A young woman, the eldest daughter of a wonderful family died right there in my arms.

That family’s loss was the catalyst of a series rather harrowing experiences over the next two weeks which brought me directly into the Catholic Church.

WELCOME HOME!!!

It was more than two years before that family knew the impact their daughter’s loss had on me, a stranger to them.

We can never know what part we will play in the economy of God’s plan. But I am here because of their loss. I pray for their daughter and her family every day.

**That is beautiful and Thanks Be to God!!! I truly believe McKayla’s death will bring about the same experiences as you had. I already know that because many people have told me they are a different parent than they were before this - I have even had people tell me their families are going back to church.

McKayla has over 1100 people attend her wake … and over 300 people where at her funeral Mass. It was beautiful … I was never so proud of our Catholic Faith as I was at her Mass.

Thank you for stepping out of your comfort zone and sharing that wonderful story. God does bring great things from tradgedies … I believe it.

God Peace, Love and Merry Christmas … we will be going to our first Midnight Mass with Amanda this Christmas (to change up the traditions) … please keep us in your prayers. I ball at Mass all the time … can’t imagine what Christmas Eve will bring!!!

Love Moe**

May God grant you comfort, consolation and peace.

Moe,

The love that radiates through your posts has been an inspiration to me.

There were no parents that wanted their children more than Greg and I … our children are our greatest accomplishments. I used to (still do) look at my children with tears of gratitude in my eyes because we were blessed with having them. I always thank God for healthy children, because I know the cross of kids who are not … never in my wildest dreams would I suspect that McKayla wasn’t healthy - if you saw her in person you would know what I was talking about.

A very good friend of ours lost his son in a motorcycle accident some years ago, and it is the witness from people who suffer so much (like you and he) that is so strong for the rest of us (we, who complain about little things because of our weak faith).

How is he doing? We all have crosses to bare my friend … I know that this cross is huge and I don’t complain 2/3 of what I used to before this happened. We parents ache for our children who have gone before us … we at least I know that McKayla isn’t missing us … she is in the presence of our Lord … not just in the Eucharists. I cry uncontrollably everytime I have the Eucharists … I believe it is because she is closer to me then than any other time.

Family is one of the greatest gifts God has given us, and sometimes my heart is torn in two in confusion trying to understand why God allows these things to happen. But then I see the heroic triumph of a mother persevering in faith, trusting in God, and shining the light of Christ to all as a result of her actions, God’s words again ring true:

**What a beautiful sentiment. Family is the greatest gift - but it also can be the greatest burden … we all have situaitons in our families that don’t resemble the Brady Bunch 🙂

It is easy to love our two girls … they still loved us … it is harder as the kids grow into their own person … we never experienced that - well yet!!!

Amanda just got her first report card as a Freshman in High School - Straight A’s … unreal ha? **

May God’s hand protect you and your family this Christmas,

**Thank you, I am sure he does … I pray that on his birthday - we have a little more good moments … like I say - we never have good days - but we do have good moments - which is more than we had almost 9 months ago. **

In Jesus Christ,
**Merry Christmas Magicsilence and thank you for reaching out to me.

It helps greatly talking about my angel in heaven … I miss her with every breathe that I take!

Love Moe - Amanda and McKayla’s Mom**

Moe,
You are in my prayers. I offer you and your family’s suffering up to the Lord.
May our Blessed Mother comfort you.
You WILL get through this although you’ll never be the same joyful person as you were.
You are an inspiration to all of us here.
Hugs,
Lissa

I have to share this.

Every time (without fail) that I read your posts I cry. When I’m at home…I cry. When I’m at work (like now) I cry. There have been times when I talk about it with my husband that I have actually wept for you.

I am writing this now because I just had a revelation. Isnt it interesting that the the shortest sentence in the Bible is the most powerful, poignant, and heartbreaking. “Jesus wept.”

He wept. His mother certainly wept, as well.

And although the divine weep, and the mortals weep, we all know that in the end there is something so much more wonderful.

Perhaps we weep because we are sooooo terribly far from what it will be like in heaven and our souls know it.

We know that this is all not the way its “supposed” to be, and we are trying so hard to make this life like the next one, that it breaks our hearts when it is not.

Sending all my weeping up for you, once again,

Vester

Dear Vester,
How well put! You make me want to cry. You described this life exactly as it is or as we wish it would be. The afterlife will be so much more. God bless you for such a beautiful insight!

**Thank you so much Lissa … I pray that we will. I am empty … just empty … there is no joy in my heart … and there should be … I am a mother of a saint … I am a mother of a saint … yet my heart aches for that saint …

Loving you from NH**

Oh Vester444 - I am sorry - it isn’t my purpose to make anyone cry … I thought I was doing enough of that for everyone … I am truly sorry my friend for the tears that you shed for us that could possibly be shed for your own family.

I know - but I want her home in my arms … celebrating … once again that we are a family … a physical family — I can’t grasped that she isn’t here physically!!!

Perhaps we weep because we are sooooo terribly far from what it will be like in heaven and our souls know it.

Perhaps … right now I just weep because I miss her … I miss seeing her, miss listening to her talk, her piano playing, I just miss her …

We know that this is all not the way its “supposed” to be, and we are trying so hard to make this life like the next one, that it breaks our hearts when it is not.

Yes, perhaps.

Sending all my weeping up for you, once again,

**You are a true friend and I thank you … I love you truly,

I am a cry baby … which signifies that I am not strong … how can I be an inspiration? I am a mess 😦

Well aren’t we all a sight to see? haha!

All of us crying…doing our best to make the others not cry, and then crying even more because someone is being sweet about us crying…whew - we are all a mess!

I’m ready to cry right now!

And just to think your KK is up in heaven rolling her eyes thinking - why are all these ladies crying. 🙂

On a more serious note, I know that you ache for her to be here physically. I can absolutely imagine what that must feel like, and to have the world keep going and turning, when yours has stopped. It must throw you for a curve, when the world keeps spinning and yours has stopped, its like a car accident. The car stops but you keep going out the window…I get it. I can totally see what you are saying.

I have nothing to offer but prayers, love, my tears and I hope once in a while maybe a glimpse of humor or hope. 🙂

It’s OK to be a mess right now, Moe. You just lost your baby and it’s still so fresh and raw. I would wonder what was wrong with you if you weren’t a mess.

I think you are stronger than you think. Being a strong person doesn’t mean that you don’t cry too much or get emotional. It means that through thick and thin, you do what you have to do and get by the best you can. I see that you have done just that in these last few months. After all, you are managing to get out of bed every day. That takes strength.

Dear Moe,
I would say that I agree with Mason. You ARE strong, even though YOU don’t see it. We all see it. You are getting through this horrible storm. One day you will see your beautiful daughter again, and it will be so much sweeter. Isn’t that hard to believe? Because both of you will see the face of God. Our Lady is placing her mantle over you and covering you with her tears that wept for Jesus. Those tears were not a sign of weakness but a sign of love. We all love you Moe. Please hold on to the cross - it’s the only way.

Moe,

Being strong and thinking you are strong are different things. You might not think you are strong but take a minute and think about everything you have done today? Did you get out of bed today? Make a meal for yourself or anyone else? Post anything on the Internet? Go to work? Talk with Amanda? Pray? Do laundry? Do the Dishes? I know you have done at least one of these and I know you are strong. Someday you will see it too.

And crying doesn’t make you weak! I don’t think I will ever make it through a holiday or a birthday that a few tears (or a river!) are not shed. So if you want to start a crybaby club I’ll join.

I am glad that your friends and family are coming to the mass don’t worry about opening wounds for them.

I couldn’t see the pic but I saw on memorial website that Greg decorated a tree outside of KK what a wonderful idea. One of the hardest things for us was to put on somewhat of a happy face and do all the normal Christmas stuff that 1st year for my 6year old brother.

Family is important and you need your family but sometimes the best families are not the people you are related to. You don’t need people in your life who are hurtful even if they are related.

Peace,

Mary

All of us crying…doing our best to make the others not cry, and then crying even more because someone is being sweet about us crying…whew - we are all a mess!

I am probably the #1 mess of all!!!

I’m ready to cry right now!

🙂

And just to think your KK is up in heaven rolling her eyes thinking - why are all these ladies crying. 🙂

Yes she would. McKayla got it here on earth and your are right - she must be definately rolling her eyes …

Yes, it is like that … and sometimes I resent that fact that people can just continue as if nothing has happened … but then I realize that life does go on and they aren’t McKayla’s mom … they didn’t carry her in their womb, they didn’t bring her into this world … I did … and that must be why I feel like life should continue … because my baby isn’t here with me … and I miss her … I miss everything about her … everything - EVEN HER ROLLING HER EYES AT ME 😦

I have nothing to offer but prayers, love, my tears and I hope once in a while maybe a glimpse of humor or hope. 🙂

**You succeed - always Vester … always … I am so lucky that you have reached out to me … thank you my friend. **

I am trying mom4truch - how are you feeling today??? Any better … I am offering up my tears right now as I am typing … God’s peace be with you and our Lady as well!

Being strong and thinking you are strong are different things. You might not think you are strong but take a minute and think about everything you have done today? Did you get out of bed today?

YES

Make a meal for yourself or anyone else?
YES AND YES

Post anything on the Internet?

YES

Go to work?

NO - BUT I DID GO OUT AND GO GROCERY SHOPPING AND GET MY HAIR DONE

Talk with Amanda? Pray? Do laundry? Do the Dishes?

YES, YES, YES

I know you have done at least one of these and I know you are strong. Someday you will see it too.

And crying doesn’t make you weak! I don’t think I will ever make it through a holiday or a birthday that a few tears (or a river!) are not shed. So if you want to start a crybaby club I’ll join.
SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN …

I am glad that your friends and family are coming to the mass don’t worry about opening wounds for them.

THEY HAVE BEEN MY ROCK THROUGH ALL OF THIS … I WOULDN’T BE HERE TODAY WITHOUT THEM …

I couldn’t see the pic but I saw on memorial website that Greg decorated a tree outside of KK what a wonderful idea. One of the hardest things for us was to put on somewhat of a happy face and do all the normal Christmas stuff that 1st year for my 6year old brother.

GREG AND AMANDA DIDN’T WANT TO DECORATE. I DID … MCKAYLA LOVED CHRISTMAS AND DECORATING … BUT IT WAS TOO HURTFUL FOR THEM. GREG SAID WE COULD COMPROMISE AND I COULD GET A SMALL TREE … WE USUALLY HAVE 3 8FT TALL TREES IN OUR HOUSE, I WOULD RATHER NOT HAVE ONE 😦

Family is important and you need your family but sometimes the best families are not the people you are related to. You don’t need people in your life who are hurtful even if they are related.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT … MOST PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN AMAZING AREN’T MY BLOOD FAMILY … BUT FRIENDS … ALTHOUGH MY SISTER’S HAVE BEEN AMAZING AS WELL … THEY MISS HER AS WELL

Peace,

THANKS FOR THE PEP TALK MARY … THANK YOU SO MUCH — LOVE AND PRAYERS AND HUGGLES … MOE
Mary

Hi Moe,
You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers all day tomorrow.
Guess what? Tomorrow I will become an aunt finally! My sister is in the hospital now. My first neice or nephew will share their birthday with McKayla. Isn’t that God-incidence?!
Bless you Moe!
