Dear Moe,
I am thinking of and praying for you and your dear family as you go through this terrible grief. I know the funeral will be so hard, but at last your daughter will be laid to rest which will be some comfort to you. Then you can visit her gravesite which can be very comforting. At the last day she will be raised up out of that grave, although now her soul rests with our dear Lord.
Dearest Moe, you have so many of us praying for you and holding you and your grief up to God. We are all one with you in your suffering. Don’t feel alone, and keep us posted.
Love,
Lissa

Thank you!

Can we be assured that there is a heaven … i get anxiety sometimes thinking about it 😦

You be assured there is a heaven! Let me relate an incident with one of my students:
Joey was dying with leukemia. He’d been battling it since he was two. When he was five the leukemia came back full-force. The parents, friends of mine, tried everything, but nothing was working. So he went home to die. As he was lying in a coma on the last day, he suddenly woke up and told his father, “Daddy, I’ll be watching you.” Then he drifted off to sleep. With his eyes closed he said, “I’m not afraid” as though he were speaking to someone. Then he said again, “I’m not afraid,” and we all believe that he was speaking to his guardian angel. Then his last words were, “I’m climbing on.” And he died.
Now, who was he speaking to? There was SOMEONE there. Moe, your daughter was carried to heaven by her guardian angel. Believe it, it’s true.
My grandmother in her last days kept asking us if we heard the music. “Such glorious music,” she said. “Can’t you hear it?” Of course we couldn’t.
There is a heaven and your daughter is there!
Love,
Lissa

Lissa that is so beautiful … I am just scared thinking that I shall never see her again … I know I have to be prepared for heaven … but it is just so painful to think I shal never again be with her … so I am sure there is a heaven … I need to be prepared for it …

I think the pain is just hurting so much I am not thinking clearly.

Moe,

This is my first time posting to this thread, although I have been following it on and off. I think about you and your family and will say a rosary for you this evening. I can’t even imagine the pain you must feel, but I do know that God will get you through it. I can’t believe the amazing response you have gotten from this website alone!

You are a strong woman and you are an inspiration! The feelings you are expressing are feelings that any person would have when experiencing the grief you have had to endure. You are handling it well. God bless you!!! I’m off to say that rosary now.🙂

Moe ❤️

My mum was diagnosed with 3 months to live when my workmate, friend & confidante Yvonne (‘my’ Mrs C) had recently been diagnosed with Cancer also. I begged God not to take them both away from me & he healed my mum - 9 years later she is still here & Mrs C isn’t.

I am very emotional & did not take it very well. The night after my Mrs C died, she came to me in a dream. We were at the airport and she was boarding the plane and consoled me. She said “I love you Sonny, don’t worry, i’m going to God.” She boarded the plane & went to heaven. I know she visited me that night, it is still so vivid.

‘Mr C’ is a devout Catholic & has seen & heard things he thought were *impossible. * Cigarette smoke has filled his bedroom yet he has never smoked, Mrs C did, even in the hospice. He has felt her breath on the back of his neck & heard her say “tut, tut, tut.” as she used to. Each of her children can tell you a story where she has been there for them after she has died. I will not go into detail as you may think them too weird! Whenever Lois Armstrong’s ‘It’s a wonderful world’ comes on the radio and one of her family hear it - strange things happen (It was the final song at her funeral, when the coffin was leaving the Church.)

I have been going to visit her at the cemetery all these years, although i have eased up a bit since having Braden. I have always felt a comfort at cemeteries, I pick up the fallen vases, clear away leaves etc. I kiss her headstone and talk to her. I have left little gifts & letters over the years, (her family love that.) Every anniversary we would rock up, (one year a friend of one of her daughters played the flute, it was so serine.) Lunch, chairs, blankets, celebrations with their beloved Mum and Mum Mum as all her grandkids called her (mum’s mum.) More weirder stories from another grieving mother whose child is buried near Yvonne, who got to befriend George in his grief… they would both be at the cemetery - total messes and then they started to talk & you would NEVER believe what this woman had to say to George. I will not repeat it as you will all think that we are nuts - but i believe!

I used to have a little inspirational folder for all my customers at St Vinnies, & i had a copy of this on the wall for people to read also:

Stevie was a little girl who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at 18 months old. Her parents never married, & after she became sick, their relationsip crumbled due to medical bills, finances etc. At 3 yrs of age Stevie rang up her daddy & told him that she would like something. He turned up at the family home & his daughter sat her parents Melinda & Wayne down & said: 'You said you want me to be happy, & the only thing that will make me happy is to see you get married, i want us to live together as a real family." Well, how could they refuse their dying daughter’s wish? Stevie and her younger sister Bobbie made beautiful ‘bridesmaids’. Stevie didn’t stop smiling, it was HER day. In the following weeks, her parents granted every wish that they possibly could for Stevie. She had one huge wish which was was for them to build a huge house for all of her sick friends from hospital, so they could stay with her.

From the article:
In November, 1992, Stevie’s condition started to deteriorate. She was lying on the lounge, and when I went to give her a cuddle, she said “Don’t sit there, my friend Jesus wants to sit down.”
Melinda says "We are not religious, and I had never heard her talk about Jesus before, so i suddenly felt very afraid as I sat on the floor.

“Then she told me to phone her prandparents so she could say goodbye. 'I’m going to die today you know, ’ she said. I was horrified, but she took my hand and said: ‘I’ll be okay. Death isn’t that bad. Don’t be sad, Mummy, because i won’t hurt anymore.’”

A few minutes after her grandparents arrived, Stevie passed away. “As terrible as it was, I drew great comfort from what she had said before she died.” Melinda says. “In her own way, she prepared me for losing her. She had wisdom far beyond her years.”

Stevie has a little baby brother to watch over from heaven & her parents did build that home for her sick friends from hospital. Like a Ronald McDonald House, parents can stay free of charge to be close to their terminally ill children who are in hospital. It is called Stevie’s Retreat.

All my life i have prayed that when God takes my mum, that he takes me too as i don’t want to live without her. I am a 41 yr old baby! If it weren’t for my Braden, i would still beg God to do it that way.

I cannot imagine your loss, hurt, emptiness, nothing… After dad died, i could have died too.

Wanting to go in with her, i think, is so natural!

May Angels comfort you while you sleep, you probably don’t want to get up today. :hug1:

As Always.

We are burying our baby today … a child Greg and I worked so hard to have … and I am filled with despair and sadness and unending pain.

It is a very cold day in NH … not only outside but inside.

You are all in my prayers and I will keep them there. May the soul of McKayla Geisinger rest in peace in our heavenly Father’s arms. God bless the Geisinger family.

So many prayers here.

A book that you might pick up, it helped when my niece’s boyfriend was lost in a car accident, is “A Travel Guide to Heaven”.

McKay, our angel, we said our final goodbyes to you today … we are so unbelievably sad …

I don’t think people realize what we are going through - of course, unless they have lost a child. It was so hard honey … Daddy made a cross to mark where you will be until your monument comes in. My heart ached for him while I saw him meticulously preparing a sign for you. And I broke down when I saw Amanda bring the cross inside … God – the pain is unimaginable.

It was a beautiful send off … we miss you terribly and ache for you constantly …Fr. Don said a beautiful service. He is such an amazing pastor … we feel blessed that he is in our lives … he has been so helpful as any Sheppard would be to their flock. We feel such a personal connection with him.

Be with us beautiful … help us to try to continue our days on earth without you … we are in despair…

I have been reflecting on something I read in a book given to me from Ally’s Mom, Kelly:

HAVE YOU COME TO THE PLACE WHERE YOU BELIEVE THE GLORY OF GOD IS WORTH WHAT COST YOU OR MAY COST YOU IN THE FUTURE? HAVE YOU EMBRACED THE FOUNDATIONAL TRUTH THAT YOUR LIFE IS NOT ABOUT YOU AND YOUR PAIN, BUT THAT YOU EXIST TO DISPLAY AND ENJOY THE GLORY OF GOD? ALL OF HISTORY AND EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE HAVE BEEN DESIGNED BY GOD TO DISPLAY HIS GREATNESS AND HIS BEAUTY. AND SO I PASS ALONG THIS QUESTION FOR YOU TO PONDER, THIS ENDEAVOR FOR YOU TO EMBRACE ---- WHAT IS IT THAT GOD WANTS TO DO IN YOU OR THORUGH YOU THAT WOULD HAVE TO COST YOU THIS MUCH? WHATEVER IT IS, I ASSURE YOU IT WILL BE GLORIOUS!!!

Your death has cost us a lot … and we have no idea why 😦

I love you my sweet McKay … I miss you, and I pray that you hold us in your arms as we journey to our heavenly home and be once again united with you - my beautiful baby…

I love you! Mommy

Oh Moe, my heart just breaks for you in your pain. We all held you in our hearts today, I hope you felt us there with you.

I wish you peace.

In my prayers,

~Liza
