Thank you Lori for sharing this … if KK’s loss brings peace to someone else, we are so happy … we are beside ourselves, that perhaps, our story has given your wonderful Son … life … especially if he wants to be a priest … God is Good!Hi, I wanted to tell you thank you for sharing McKayla’s story. You’ve been on my mind and in my prayers for several weeks.
I especially want to thank you because you inspired me to take my son to the doctor. He has complained of chest pain off and on for about a year. Well, he’s 8 and kind of a baby so I have been blowing him off. But after his baseball game on Monday he was complaining again and McKayla was on my mind so I decided to take him in. Yesterday, an echocardiogram found that he has a bicuspid(instead of a normal tricuspid) aorta valve with a mild leak. With this knowlege we’ll be able to take the preventitve measures that he’ll need to stay healthy. And he’ll still be able to fulfill his dream of becoming a priest. Words can’t express how grateful I am to you (and perhaps McKayla herself) for nudging me to finally get him checked out.
God bless you! You and your family will always, ALWAYS be in my prayers!
Thanks again Moe. I’ve made an appointment with the cardiologist to talk over his long term prognosis more thoroughly. It seems that now that they know it’s there, it will be watched closely for complications and the valve will likely be replaced or repaired when the doctors deem it necessary.
God bless!
