Is that even possible? Once you’re baptized a Catholic, you’re Catholic forever is my understanding. At least that was drilled into my traditionalist head.
Do you actually think the pro-abortionists believe in that? After all, Martin Luther was a baptized Catholic too. So was Henry VIII.

Yep, Martin Luther and Henry VIII are on the list, wherever they hold such records. 🙂

With all due respect, there are many Catholics, sadly, who do not honor the church’s stance on abortion. Sotomayor is just one of them. Look at all the members of Congress who do the same.

I am not aware of any prolife Dems in congress. I think NARAL and NRL identify two or three prolife Dems, but I don’t think they’re Catholic. Nearly all the Repubs are prolife, as those two organizations identify them.
I don’t think any of the pro-abortion Repubs are Catholics.

Did I say otherwise?

Look, point of fact is that Catholics excommunicate themselves when they commit abortion. But they remain Catholic, and still subject to Canon Law. But you know this.

They made a move that was fully within their right to do in not having a vote on hiim
Is this your idea of advise and consent?
Yes, it is. It was Joe Biden’s idea. Just like eliminating cloture for SCOTUS nominees was Reid’s. It is within the purview of the Senate. So, yes, it is.

Luther was Catholic, just not Roman.

Luther was Roman Catholic until he became protestant. By baptism he was still Catholic. By practice he was neither Roman nor Catholic.

Okay but for the record Reid only eliminated the closure rule for Federal appointees. There had been a tremendous backlog created by the filibuster and attacks against Obama’s recess appointments .The SCOTUS and Fed appointments were all McConnell’s.

Protestant is actually a political term as it springs from the formal protest in 1529 at the Diet of Speyer.
He, like all those called “Lutheran “, knew themselves as Evangelical Catholic.

They are anti-traditional Christian.
Vatican II opened the door to anti-tradition. At least that’s my argument as a traditionalist. But that’s all I’m going to say about that topic here.

Federal judicial appointees. The logical conclusion was SCOTUS.

How long has Feinstein served in Congresd?

We are supposed to believe she didn’t know what to do with the information?

Come on! I am not that naive.

Another game of desperation!

Borking is the new normal. Do whatever it takes to defeat the nominee. If defeat looks unlikely, delay. Delay as long as possible. If one allegation doesn’t work, find another. If witneses can’t be found or can’t remember, demand more time. Whatever it takes. Borking on steroids.
