Lisa that’s the whole point. Cut reimbursment rates so low, doctors and hospitals are forced to turn away all Medicare/Medicaid patients…then the government can say “Look, Look! At these evil, greedy, heartless doctors and hospitals turning down grandpa because he has Medicare and Medicare unlike the greedy private insurance companies…don’t charge their patients outrageous prices…we need a nationalized health care service like the British have.”

Yep I see those Gutless Commie-Libs pushing it in say 10 years.
Interesting take on things…Tell me, do you have solid numbers to show us how Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement is being cut?

Are you a vet?

I want better than “pretty good” for our veterans. I want the BEST for them. And I have not heard even “pretty good” for VA hospitals.

😦

St Louis VA

St. Louis – A failure in cleaning dental instruments properly at the John Cochran Veterans Administration Hospital on Grand may have but 1,812 dental clinic patients at risk.
The patients started getting certified letters Tuesday, advising them they may have been exposed to viruses: hepatitis and HIV.
Dr. Gina Michael is the association chief of staff at the hospital, and says the failure happened because some dental technicians thought they were doing the right thing by washing the dental tools themselves.
Dr. Michael says the techs were using a sink and strong soap to clean the tools, when they should have sent them to the hospital sanitizing and sterilizing department.
Walter Reed:
Walter Reed 2007 neglect scandal
Main article: Walter Reed Army Medical Center neglect scandal
In February 2007, The Washington Post published a series of investigative articles outlining cases of alleged neglect (physical deterioration, bureaucratic nightmares, etc.) at WRAMC as reported by outpatient soldiers and their family members. A scandal and media furor quickly developed resulting in the firing of the WRAMC commanding general Maj. Gen. George W. Weightman,[4] the resignation of Secretary of the Army Francis J. Harvey (reportedly at the request of Secretary of Defense Robert Gates[5]), the forced resignation of Lt. Gen. Kevin C. Kiley, commander from 2002 to 2004,[6] congressional committee hearings, and commentary from numerous politicians including President George W. Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney. Several independent governmental investigations are ongoing and the controversy has spread to other military health facilities and the Department of Veterans Affairs health care system.

Of course we want what is best for them!

However, I don’t think it is the quality of care that is the problem, but rather the new claims approval process. Due to improved battlefield medicine, more veterans are surviving serious injuries that would have killed them in the past. The current system wasn’t designed to handle so many cases so there is a backlog getting claims approved.

.
The current system was devised when many tens of thousands of men suffered battlefield injuries every year. Since the war began there have been about 33,000 combat wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan - or less than 4000 a year. In about the same amount of time Vietnam had over 400,000 wounded and the “system” was not computerized.

Karl Marx accurately described the state of the working class under the unfettered capitalism of the second half of the 19th century…
And his solutions ended up with 94 million (dead and counting) by pogroms, purges, and central planning.

We’re not doing too bad, though, we’ve got 50 million dead since 1973, 1/3 the time. Perhaps we’ll catch them?
2425 The Church has rejected the totalitarian and atheistic ideologies associated in modem times with “communism” or “socialism.”… Regulating the economy solely by centralized planning perverts the basis of social bonds;…

Why did Jesus say, “Feed the poor”?
Because he didn’t say you should rob Yosi to feed Mosi, he said you should feed the poor not Augustus who was emperor at the time.

Of course Paul said if they do not work they shouldn’t eat. So I am assuming the poor, the Lord is referring to are particularly those who cannot feed themselves. And He isn’t referring to those who just don’t feel like getting out of bed and doing a menial; job below their dignity.

Saying Karl Marx accurately described the problem is not the same as saying communism is the solution - sorry you can’t seem to make that distinction. 🤷
Karl Marx described nothing, he was a drunk free-loading kraut who decided to go out and hang out with Fred Engels and drink more booze while his family was starving and his kid was dying.

If Karl Marx accurately describes problems, I guess one could argue Hitler did the same thing:rolleyes:

I’m with RealJullian Communism is alive and kicking…where’s Senator McCarthy when we need him.

Why did St Paul say:

[BIBLEDRB]2 thes 3:7-12[/BIBLEDRB]
For also when we were with you, this we declared to you: that, if any man will not work, neither let him eat.
Kind of makes Social Security immoral doesn’t? That program has caused more laziness among the able bodied than all other welfare programs combined.

Romneycare is a government program and nobody in Massachusetts is waiting in line to see a doctor. Go back and read my first post.
Are you being intentionally obstinate? Please re read my post. Romneycare functioned on the STATE level, again, with the option of not signing on. Federally funded and operated programs by and large are a nightmare,a bureautic nightmare to be exact!

Justice Roberts did the right thing to uphold the law and this is truly a victory for the American people. Millions of American’s will now benefit from access to affordable health care unless voters are gullible enough to fall for the right-wing propaganda paid for by people like the Koch brothers, Rupert Murdoch, Sheldon Adelson or some shady member of the 1% who want nothing more than to get rid of a populist president. I for one refuse to buy into their propaganda of partial truths aimed at getting average people to vote against their own best interests.

The bottom line is that Obamacare is just Romneycare on a national level. There is no need to speculate about what it will mean to you or to the national economy - the experiment has been done and it is a success. It may not be perfect, but it works. You can read all about what a success it has been for Massachusetts here:

Massachusetts Health Care Law, Staple Of Mitt Romney Legacy, May Hold Good Signs For Obamacare

My personal experience with the health care system in Massachusetts has been phenomenal. Last month, I had a breast cancer scare. It was a stressful two weeks, but during that time I was able to see my doctor, have a mammogram & ultrasound, a core biopsy and two consultations with the surgeon & breast care specialist who was handling my case. The health care I received was top rate, fast, efficient, and compassionate - that is what we have here in Massachusetts. That is what every person in this nation deserves.

I thank God for what my experience has taught me. I don’t have cancer, but I do have greater compassion for those who fight against it every day. I just participated in the American Cancer Association Relay for Life - and it was an incredible experience. So many stories and lives - every one of them precious. I thank God that I live in a state where every person who suffers from cancer or any other health care issue is able to get the same quality of care that I received and are able to live their lives with dignity without the fear that it will bankrupt their family.

Think about that next time you hear someone say the Affordable Health Care law is bad public policy. What do the Republicans propose instead? The individual mandate is a constitutional, conservative solution to the health care crisis that was developed by the Heritage Foundation. The GOP is trashing their own best proposal out of pure malice and hatred for the president. They have nothing better to offer.
When doctors leave the medical profession, forcing healthcare rationing, you won’t be so glib about this “victory” for American liberal tyranny.

Why did Jesus say, “Feed the poor”?
What did Jesus NOT say:

Use the force of government to rob with the use of force from one group of people in an effort to compel them to be charitable to the poor.

Actually, Jesus never said taxation was immoral. Nor did he comment on what government spending was appropriate.
