You’re
kidding, right? We’ve been taking and taking and taking these insults for years - the Lord’s Prayer is banned because it’s a Christian prayer; the Ten Commandments are removed from court houses because they come from the Christian God; the word “Christmas” is banned because it contains the name “Christ”; Christian children and young people can’t study the Bible, or discuss religion, or wear crosses in public because others will be offended (but nobody is offended by Jews wearing yarmulkas, or by Muslims stopping to kneel on their prayer rugs and pray every three hours) - every time I turn around there’s a “science special” on that speculates in serious tones about how something about my faith
probably isn’t really true (although there’s no evidence either way) - and now they have this movie and these books out that portray the Magisterium of the Catholic Church as child murderers or whatever, and
again, we’re just supposed to smile and
take it.
If Muslims or Jews get mad, everyone falls all over themselves making it right, but when
we get mad,
we’re the intolerant ones?
Huh-uh.
I’m
glad that kid took the posters down at his school. It’s a step in the right direction.
Oh, so now it’s a Christian with an “my opinion matters more than Muslims” as well as a “poor me” attitude.
First, there will always be people to annoy you and science to attempt to disprove you, no matter what faith you are. Everyone of all faiths have to deal with this.
And you have the freedom to wear whatever you want, from crosses to pentagrams. Personally, you don’t have it bad at all in this area. If someone sees someone wearing a cross, no one bats an eye. But if it’s a pentagram, it’s totally differnt and they think you are a Satanist.
Well, yeah, the 10 Com. aren’t in courthouses because we have religious freedom. We have the right, at least here in the USA, to believe whatever we like. The first com. is contradictory to this, so it makes sense that your religious laws are not enforced by the government.
Why can’t children study the Bible? If they are Christian, then they usually have one somewhere…

. Again, you have life better here than me…I’m not allowed to read what my faith says.
I didn’t make any fuss over the Passion of Christ, saying “Oh, this is such an insult to my religion! It’s anti-Wiccan, it doesn’t have what I believe in it!” I persoanlly just didn’t watch it. But I didn’t go vandalizing the signs all over my school about it. I didn’t make protests and try to get it banned, did I? Please, get over it.
And the Lord’s prayer is only banned from school because so are Muslim and Jewish and pagan prayers. It’s not like society is discriminating its laws against all Christians. ALL religions have to deal with it, too.
In society, pagans have it a lot worse than Christians do, seeing as like 70% or more of the population in the USA are Christian. People would insult me on a daily basis if they knew my faith. Christians have it easy. Oh, and sorry to sound so harsh, but it’s when Christians sound like you do that other religions start criticizing them. You are makingyour faith look bad. Instead, why can’t you be peaceable, live and let live? So stop fussing! Learn to accept other’s opinions. Deal with it!
And Jesus would forgive all the insults, not vandalizing every thing that he thought was a tiny bit anti-Christian or did not hold the Christian beliefs.
