i usually go to Target for many things (Household necessities and this one food brand’s product that I like). Just got a cooler there on Sunday. Guess I’ll be shopping elsewhere for awhile… 😦

Target, JC Penny, etc. haven’t had for awhile, and unless they stop, won’t get any of my money.

The response to this on these forums is interesting.

I recall reading a book on the history of Star Trek by David Gerrold talking about how many people in the deep south boycotted not just the show but CBS because Star Trek featured Uhura and Sulu.

standing up for Traditional Marriage is not the same as racism.

I stopped shopping there when they came out with their gay pride t-shirts a couple months ago.

At one time traditional marriage was between two people of the same race.

That aside how foolish and/or useful were those boycotts against Star Trek?

Are they actually asking managers to hang that sign in their stores? I bet half of them won’t do it. They’ll lose all their in-store registrants and their store’s numbers will take a hit.

cnsnews.com/news/article/black-pastors-oppose-gay-marriage-warn-obama-we-will-not-stand-you

Just one of many black pastors that do not equate ssm with civil rights.

Just love all these “new to the forum” posters and their tired agendas.
“Gay and lesbian people have families, and their families should have legal protection…A constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriages is a form of gay bashing and it would do nothing at all to protect traditional marriages. We are all tied together in a single garment of destiny…I can never be what I ought to be until you are allowed to be what you ought to be, I’ve always felt that homophobic attitudes and policies were unjust and unworthy of a free society and must be opposed by all Americans who believe in democracy.” Coretta Scott King

If these pastors you mention want to involve themselves and their churches in politics then they should give up their tax exempt status

In some areas, legal marriage was between a man and a woman of the same race. Throughout history, in many areas a man and a woman of any race could marry. You will note, much to your chagrin, that it always was between a man and a woman.

Trying to equate ssm and race just ain’t gonna cut it.

Pastors can speak freely on any topic in a public forum. The tax exempt status does not enter into play in such forums.

then it follows churches that support ssm should lose theirs also, correct?🤷

who cares?
why does it bother you so much? its their company, they can put whatever kind of ad they want.
if it bothers certain people that much then they should not shop their.
