What part of what the Church teaches does the Repub party oppose?I think that you can sit back and not vote due to either party not standing for what the Church believes.

What if that Catholic finds both choices unacceptable for various reasons?I thought it was a mortal sin for a Catholic not to exercise her right to vote according to CCC 2240?
Yes–I really am upset that Trump is the nominee, but I am also pragmatic. I feel our prayers and efforts should go toward trying to convince Trump to make good decisions with the people he selects. If he chooses a bunch of moderates, or liberal-lites, then we will see years more of things decaying.Plus Republicans running in both houses need our votes. Don’t give up on them. They need to maintain control there.
What if he chose Rubio or Santorum as his VP, and Cruz for the Supreme Court?Looks an independent candidate who is true to Catholic teaching will get my vote. There is no way I can vote for Trump or Clinton and still call myself a Catholic.
Not really. Whether an abortion is required to save the life of the mother is medically determinable and would be exceedingly rare. It’s the addition “…or health” that opens it to abortion on demand because that is taken to include “mental health”, which can include anxiety or anything else.Perhaps not with the incest or rape exceptions–yet, the life of the mother exception equals abortion on demand. There really is no way to control or stop abortions with those three exceptions in place.

Many people do not understand that there are any number of things that doctors and women can say threatens the life of a pregnant woman. That is all it will take. Not really. He did promise a list of potential Supreme Court Justices. Once we get that, we’ll know if Cruz’s name is on it.What if he chose Rubio or Santorum as his VP, and Cruz for the Supreme Court?
Bush had 4 years, from 2002-2006 to fix the housing issue with a majority and I do mean majority lead House and Senate and didn’t do a single thing. Well, he did do a single thing but it wasn’t for those in the lower class.Yes, Clinton’s only true success was he followed the Republicans. He saw a good plan and he went along with it.
Bush is bashed far more than he has ever deserved. He created an amazing economy until the Democrats took control off Congress after the 2006 elections. That Democratic Party led Congress caused the housing collapse and then the economic collapse after. Since Bush was in office, people blame him, but he tried to convinced the Congress to stiffen regulations for the housing market and they refused–not long after, everything fell apart.
Yes, and we will also eventually see who his VP choice is. Those decisions will fill in the Trump picture. If he chooses a bunch of moderates or liberals, we know all we need to know.He did promise a list of potential Supreme Court Justices. Once we get that, we’ll know if Cruz’s name is on it.
There’s a lot of things. Didn’t you forget his fighting with the Pope in March? What about voting Trump would make you not a Catholic?
Well, I personally think we know all we need to when he changed his position on abortion three times in a single day. He gives social issues no thought.Yes, and we will also eventually see who his VP choice is. Those decisions will fill in the Trump picture. If he chooses a bunch of moderates or liberals, we know all we need to know.
Are you kidding?“As far as Planned Parenthood is concerned, I’m pro-life,” Trump asserted on the debate stage at the University of Houston. “I’m totally against abortion, having to do with Planned Parenthood. But millions and millions of women – cervical cancer, breast cancer – are helped by Planned Parenthood.” Feb 26th 2016
Trump said in a June 2015 CNN interview that he’d changed his position and would nominate Supreme Court justices sharing his “pro-life” stance
In an August 2015 Meet the Press interview, Trump said: “I’m pro-life. And I was begrudgingly the other way. But I have to say when those questions were asked, and that was many, many years ago, I wasn’t a politician.”
In the 2015 interview, Trump also said abortion should be legal in cases of rape, incest and “if the mother is going to die,” calling those conditions “pretty much the standard three exceptions that many Republicans have.”
January 2016 opinion column in the Washington Examiner: “Let me be clear — I am pro-life. I support that position with exceptions allowed for rape, incest or the life of the mother being at risk. I did not always hold this position, but I had a significant personal experience that brought the precious gift of life into perspective for me.”
“I’m pro-life, but with the caveats. It’s: Life of the mother (very important), incest and rape,” Trump said. Oct 15th 2015
“I am against abortion… Sept 10th 2015
Aug 16th 2015 PP has to stop with abortions.
Theres no reason not to believe Trump and theres no reason not to believe Hillary. I see talk, speculation. emotion, assumption and NO facts. Period. Not one on this entire thread.![]()
When time allows, go here and learn what really happened:Bush had 4 years, from 2002-2006 to fix the housing issue with a majority and I do mean majority lead House and Senate and didn’t do a single thing. Well, he did do a single thing but it wasn’t for those in the lower class.
Your telling me, Bush had a Republican led House and Senate, with big numbers and he couldn’t get that fixed? Bush is no angel here.
Cute phrase, but not particularly productive.Today the Republican party awoke with a groan and marveled to find itself Trumped
It is very simple. Trump says he is for the exceptions for incest, rape, and the life of the mother. That equals abortion on demand.“As far as Planned Parenthood is concerned, I’m pro-life,” Trump asserted on the debate stage at the University of Houston. “I’m totally against abortion, having to do with Planned Parenthood. But millions and millions of women – cervical cancer, breast cancer – are helped by Planned Parenthood.” Feb 26th 2016

So your saying that Bush and a super majority lead house and Senate of 4 years had no responsibility? When time allows, go here and learn what really happened:
