Next question: what sane Republican would want to be Trump’s running mate?

Rumors actually have Rubio on a short list. Christie… Actually if you are a student of politics, anyone, even Cruz would accept. Politics is about a lust for power and ego. As much as we like to pretend " our guy" is different. At this level it isn’t. Vice prez sounds pretty nice.

My dark horse pick and if I were trump…

Ivanka.

He would sweep the election.

She is a good business woman, and it would split the woman vote.

It also saves money on ink for bumper stickers.

I just listened to Ted Cruz (a man I did not vote for and would not vote for) drop out of the Republican race.

And I think he deserves our thanks and our prayers. He is clearly a man who loves this country. Would that we all remember his efforts with charity and respect.

God’s blessings to him and his family.
I voted for him and would have voted for him in November.

Get ready for a liberal democrat president no matter which of the three win.

Will Trump be able to crush Hillary?
Almost certainly not. Indeed, the GOP is now set up for its worst defeat since 1964.

I know some will come and say not so, but that’s pretty clearly how it stacks up. And amazingly, the party put itself in this position against a Democrat who is very unpopular (assuming Sanders doesn’t amazingly take the Democratic nomination).

Trump gave a gracious victory speech, praising Ted Cruz for being “one hell of a competitor.”

Now if only Trump would also drop out, as well as Hillary and Sanders, that would be just perfect.
Indeed, we should be so lucky.

Indeed, right now, I don’t know that the best hope for conservatives is the long shot that Sanders gets the Democratic nomination. He’d beat Trump in the fall, and he’s so far off to the left he’d be ignored by both sides in Congress, which would actually have to govern. But that’s unlikely.

Chris Christie. Sarah Palin.
Martinez in New Mexico is a possibility too. There are a lot of good interesting choices. But ultimately the choice will be pander to the party? Or pander to the people.

👍

So what exactly IS the process of calling for a “Do-Over” – collect signatures? get a some media exposure?

And Meltzerboy, do you meet the basic qualifications for president? I’m open to do a write-in. 😃

I do meet the qualifications. How about you and me, Gertabelle? Let’s go for it!
