That’s your deception.

I said it was clearly a misdemeanor, and would require serious injury to be a felony

If you want to insert yourself into a discussion that has already started, feel free.; there is nothign wrong with that. But if you want to insert yourself AND materially change the point of the discussion, please give explicit notice. No reasonable person would imagine that you would do so. And if you want to insert yourself and later discover that the issue at point was something other than you thought, then that is a Roseanne Rosannadanna moment and you might just quote her closing line and leave it at that.

BTW, it is interesting that this objection is conjured up this late in the discussion. It was already clear from my first link (state of Texas, germane to the incident that is the topic of the thread, that if death, serious injury, or the likelihood of serious injury were involved, then the act would be a felony. If you honestly did mean to shift the point of the idscussion, that other point was clear already before your post to me.
 
Yes, the state of debate has deteriorated to a sad state. I’m glad this was just verbal and didn’t escalate to assault and theft.

He’s being properly vilified in the press.
