Please Please Please do not be embarrassed!!! But I know how you feel. I was always the “goody good” and I hated it. I tried doing more “edgy” things to get that name off my belt. But then God really came to me and ever since then I will proudly say that I am Catholic, I love it, I love God!!! It is no longer an embarrassment for me, but an honor. If you don’t have anyone else to run to with this worry of embarrassment you have all of us and you can always message me! You are not alone! 😃
thanks 🙂 I will do that if I need to

Hi guys and gals here’s an update:

I emailed that church I referred again. Turns out they thought my original email was thought to be spam which is why I received no reply. The lady was nice and everything, very polite and kind. 🙂 But in her second reply (I emailed again afterward and asked for some more details on certain things), she implied that I could participate in Life Nights after the Youth Mass unless I registered with the parish. Now I don’t have a problem with that, if that’s their policy then that’s their policy, but I am still rather embarrassed to say that I am actually a non Catholic who wants to convert in the future. IDK I feel like she would look down on me or something or I think I am dumb for wanting to. I know it is stupid thought but it is something that often plagues my mind. I think one of my biggest reasons for not saying anything yet is not because of what non-Catholics might say, but because of what Catholics might say. So could some of you pray for me to have the courage and strength to conquer my embarrassment. And for you other teenage converts could you tell me how you dealt with this issue? I mean did you have a problem with being extremely nervous to tell those at a parish you wanted to convert. And how did they take it? Were they relatively welcoming or are my fears justified in any way?

I’m not sure how well this will work, but lets try it! For all teens, how do you feel about living out the Catholic faith while living in the world we live in now with so much peer pressure, bad influences, etc. How do you like it? How do you let others know you are Catholic? Do you take part in any youth groups or anything of that sort? Any thoughts on anything really! Lets just have a teen discussion about being Catholic! 🙂
I try to avoid peer pressure by being super picky with my friends. I dont mind to much but it would be better if there was less pressure. I do participate in youth groups. when i tell people I’m Catholic it is part of a discussion on religion.

Oops I meant she said I could not participate in Life Nights or the Life Teen Mass unless I was registered at the parish.

Hey fallow spirit! I reckon you should just tell the lady that you arent currently catholic but are wanting to convert in the future. The worst thing she can say is that you cannot attend, but at least you will know. I highly doubt that she will look down at you and think you are dumb for trying to attend. I actually think she would be happy that you want to convert. All the best, God bless 🙂
