Well, let’s say I don’t think a poster like you comes out of thin air. This is another step in your path to Heaven, and theirs. I think you’ll all handle it that way, when all is said and done, and that is all that ever counts.Thank you so much for your advice! Absolutely, I am not assuming everything will be all peachy fine…haha. After all, for me, it is a very, I don’t know, emotional? issue which has really affected my life, and I suspect part of that, if not a lot of it, will transfer to my parents. I have confidence, though, that through the grace of God, I can work this out with my parents. Not that I’m relishing the thought that there might be some painful moments on both sides…lol, far from it - but I am operating under the idea that with growth comes pain, and so that growing in relationships and in virtue is often a painful process, so in that sense, I’m glad to accept whatever pain there might be. You mentioned that you think I have a strong head on my shoulders (haha) - well, (aside from God that is,) I have my parents to thank for that; I would say they do too, and that they are loving parents that want to grow in their relationship with their children. I really see this as an opportunity for growth in our relationship. I want to grow overall in my interpersonal relationships, and I want to offer the first opportunity for my growth in this area to my parents.![]()
