Even though they are under increased scrutiny here in Detroit, I am surprise at the lack of reaction (very little reported) by the Muslim community here. Very few articles or news reports.

The AP reported today:I am having a hard time dealing with the muslim response to the Pope’s comments.
This is causing me to have very unchristian thoughts about the whole thing and I really am wondering if I can remain a Christian in good standing since I think Islam should be stopped.
Any suggestions on how to fight this battle I am having in my thoughts?
I am too angry to pray.
Reading that post just made me consider the value of leveling some mosques for a brief second. The AP reported today:
“Palestinian Muslims hurled firebombs and opened fire at five churches in the West Bank and Gaza Strip Saturday to protest the Pope’s comments, sparking concerns of a rift between Palestinian Muslims and Christians.”
The pope has relayed the truth.
The only way to properly fight these thoughts is to do as Jesus asked: Pray for your enemies.
Pray for their conversion to Christianity. The Holy Spirit does amazing things.Reading that post just made me consider the value of leveling some mosques for a brief second.
Then I woke up. I don’t have to forgive them God will have to make that call.
If I am damned for not praying for those violent persons then I’m damned.
Yes, I read his lecture. And it seems to me that he could have challenged the notion of religion and violence without quoting someone else who said, “Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached”.Did you actually read the Holy Father’s comments? I did. What part of the Holy Father’s lecture requesting dialogue with Islam did you fail to see?
