Texas GOP Chair Allen West Suggests ‘Law-Abiding States’ Should ‘Form A Union’ After Supreme Court Rejects Lawsuit On Election Results​

AUSTIN, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – The chairman of the Republican Party of Texas has suggested “law-abiding states” should “form a Union” after the Supreme Court rejected the state’s lawsuit seeking to overturn Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 presidential election.

The court’s decision was made on Friday evening after the lawsuit was brought forth by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton this week and backed up President Donald Trump, 16 other attorneys general and 126 members of Congress. The lawsuit sought to throw out millions of votes in the four battleground states of Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin based on claims of fraud.

The Supreme Court ruled that Texas did not demonstrate “a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections.”

It’s hard to disagree with Colonel West,

The compromised elections, the immorality of the party that is such a partner with Planned Parenthood and maybe even Communist China. They should be left alone for their own parts of the country. Others shouldn’t have to live with such. Well said Colonel West.

That said, that lawsuit may not have been drafted in the best way.

Colonel West speaks a great truth. If others want to live promoting lawlessness, promoting abortion with their views and maybe even infanticide, it’s been a long time that our country should look at itself deeply.

It’s also hard to disagree with the Supreme Court: Texas simply had no standing to intervene in the way other states run their elections. Also, note they did not seek to intervene in states which also expanded mail-in voting for public safety reasons but which Trump won, like Montana. That should tell you their problem wasn’t with how the election was conducted in PA and the other states, their problem was with the outcome. They have decided that votes for anyone other than their candidate shouldn’t count. That ain’t democracy.

It’s a sad devolution for the party of Lincoln. I wonder what will happen to it.

The Lost Causers should all get together and fly their Trump flags and put up statues to their heros like Lindsey Graham and Bill Barr. They can continue to rant about elections elections elections.

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
 
Yes there will be continued grumbling but I predict that in a short period of time as Trump leaves the office he will become irrelevant and so will the new lost cause. I’m sorry the forums won’t be around much longer so we can compare notes. 🙂

I disagree. I think Trump is with us until after the next election, or he is no longer with us, whichever comes first.
 
Well to my mind we’re not as obliged to pay attention to him now. And that’s precisely what I intend to do (i.e. tune him out).
