That’s fine, I’m not talking about you necessarily. I’m talking about all the goofballs out there talking up secession.
 
I’m not too worried about it. He will try to get people’s attention for sure, by saying outrageous things like he usually does, but once he ceases to be president, it won’t matter much. Lots of private citizens say outrageous things. Also it seems like he’ll have some legal headaches to deal with so that will probably keep him busy.

For those of us who follow his every move, a new hobby is in order.

Nobody is fantasizing. A party as the Democrats are who push things like Infanticide are not to be trusted.

Ah, but there is no longer a crown to which we belong. Instead we’re a confederation of states whose admittance into the union was based on there being no option for secession. That’s why what the south did in 1861 was treason.
 
I’m just waiting for his people to come tell us what the next step in his plan to retain his office will be.

He just lost a(nother) federal case in WI, which was decided on the merits (his 58th loss), in which he makes the same allegations as Texas did in their suit:

“Plaintiff’s Electors Clause claims fail as a matter of law and fact.”

“In his reply brief, plaintiff ‘asks that the Rule of Law be followed.’(Pl. Br., ECF No. 109.) It has been.”

Ouch. That’s cold.

Trump appointed this judge.

There already is a consolidation of states. They are called blue states, purple states, and red states. How is that working out? How many other countries have it where its citizens serve at least two masters?
 
The idea of secession has come up a couple of times in my lifetime. I don’t think anyone who proposes such a thing has thought it out well. The logistics would be a nightmare. Establish a government, fund a government, establish police, emergency services, a military? Nah. Not going to happen.
