Perry releases campaign video t.co/JlmkIUo
Well know soon enough.I only wonder about his foreign policy views now.
We have always had a 2 party system like that. It has worked for over 200 years. If the houses go back to democrat control, he’ll have as much trouble as Obama is having with republicans in control. It’s sad that we have a two party system where one side blames the other and nothing gets done; the whole time making decisions that affect the country based on partisan politics and to make the other side look bad.
I seriously doubt you will. Hagee is not his pastor.Edited to add: I’m not excited about see Hagee preaching at national events, or the whitehouse, either.
Yep.Well know soon enough.
You may be over extending how long it’s ‘worked’, judging by the last 50 years…We have always had a 2 party system like that. It has worked for over 200 years.
I know it’s not his pastor, but they’ve been at some of the same ‘events’. From what I understand, Perry is a Methodist??I seriously doubt you will. Hagee is not his pastor.
In the 1850s they had physical fights in the Senate. One Senator beat another unconscious with a cane. You may be over extending how long it’s ‘worked’, judging by the last 50 years…
I think so.From what I understand, Perry is a Methodist??
Man made systems don’t work perfectly. “to make a more perfect union” idea comes to mind. It all depends on the people involved. Clinton bent toward the middle with a republican congress. I just don’t see Obama bending on his ideology. He is a very stubborn man and a system of gov’t can’t work at that pace.Yep.

I didn’t say he wasn’t stubborn. But those he negotiated with were just as stubborn, and some of those they represented were even more stubborn.Man made systems don’t work perfectly. “to make a more perfect union” idea comes to mind. I live in an area that is doing very well and this area of Texas don’t have the oil industry as the large part of the economy. We are protected mainly by lower taxes, no state income taxes and lowest possible regulation on our businesses, something Obama needs to learn.Texas has been somewhat protected from the economic downturn thanks in large part to the oil industry. A lot of those jobs created were in that field, especially since the price of oil spiked years ago.
That’s a fair question. A fair answer requires a look behind the most facile statistics. Here’s a post from a blog by Iowahawk where he compares education in Texas to vaunted Wisconsin:How’s Texas doing in education?
Back then you knew where people stood on the issues. In the 1850s they had physical fights in the Senate. One Senator beat another unconscious with a cane.
Alex Jones talking about his own fixation with the Bilderberg conference and reading into it a lot of conspiracies that don’t really exist so he can sell DVDs? Really? Come on, please don’t go there.I don’t know about him…time will tell, but I have read this in several places. Also about his NAFTA policy. I think I might go with Michelle Bachman.

Perry is an Eagle Scout tooTelling comparison between Obama and Perry:
Obama in college: t.co/P62s4aw versus Perry:t.co/2Wg2pkn
If you look at the article, this was taken from the Dallas Morning News. Also read this on Politico.Alex Jones talking about his own fixation with the Bilderberg conference and reading into it a lot of conspiracies that don’t really exist so he can sell DVDs? Really? Come on, please don’t go there.
The article just said he was requested to and spoke at the event. As a successful governor, I could see why he was invited. They like successful people to speak at the event. That is not unusual. They don’t want losers speaking there. So, what is the issue? (I know what the issue is for Jones, but what is your beef about this to cause you not to vote for Perry?) Also not sure what this has to do with NAFTAIf you look at the article, this was taken from the Dallas Morning News. Also read this on Politico.
And a good statistic to look at would be the improvement rates, not just the raw scores. To recap: white students in Texas perform better than white students in Wisconsin, black students in Texas perform better than black students in Wisconsin, Hispanic students in Texas perform better than Hispanic students in Wisconsin. In 18 separate ethnicity-controlled comparisons, the only one where Wisconsin students performed better than their peers in Texas was 4th grade science for Hispanic students (statistically insignificant), and this was reversed by 8th grade. Further, Texas students exceeded the national average for their ethnic cohort in all 18 comparisons; Wisconsinites were below the national average in 8, above average in 8.
As an educator in Texas, I can attest that we have a lot of room for improvement but simply quoting bumper-sticker statistics doesn’t do justice to the matter.
