Nathan Bedford Forrest was a mason, Albert Pike was also one. William Joseph Simmons was a mason, and he declared that Catholics were enemies. No KKK member would ever be caught being a Catholic, there were some with David Duke, but his fell apart quickly and I doubt that many Catholics were even members of it.
The big important difference here is that Nathan Bedford Forrest, Albert Pike and William Joseph Simmons may have been masons, but they acted as individuals and not as representatives of the Fraternity. 3 men out of a fraternity of over a couple of million Freemasons (at the time) doesn’t say much towards any potential accusations that the Fraternally either did or does support the KKK.

As an official branch or spinoff, or just that the initial members were Freemasons?

That makes a difference, analytically.

Alan
Interestingly enough though, I wonder if there is a real difference between branches of Freemasonry, or if these branch lines (spinoffs) are just different functions of one big common goal.

By the way, if you run into Jack Straw over there in Wichita, tell him Cosmic Charlie said hello.;)😃

If I run into him, I shall be ready and willing to pass forward your greetings!

No, but seriously, blue lodge is where apprentices become educated in the craft by Master Masons -right? After an apprentice becomes a master mason himself, he can then move up the ladder by becoming a Shriner, Scottish Rite or York Rite. Those who have no political power, and cannot achieve big change wind up as Shriners. Those of the York and Scottish Rites are people with the money and the power to make things happen. Right?

So I think the Scottish Rite’s are on a National level, while the York Rite crowd are the really big rollers.

Not exactly,

After the first three degrees, a mason may either receive the Scottish Rite degrees or the the York Rite degrees. Shriners consist of either 32nd degree Scottish Rite recipients or Order of Knights Templar recipients in the York Rite exclusively. You cannot be a Shriner unless you have received all of the Scottish Rite or York Rite degrees.

Oh, okay… So it’s like a retirement spot then, in a way.

More like a way to make more money and ensure loyalty. Anyone who pays all that money and goes through all those degrees, without batting an eye at the content, is not likely to turn their back on the lodge very easily.

The Shrine is supposed to be the Masonic version of a “having fun” club in juxtaposition to the serious business conducted in the blue lodge and higher degree lodges.
Pg 112 of Christianity and American Freemasonry by William J. Whalen
Initiation fees, dues, and assessments are relatively expensive, and most Masons never advance in the York or Scottish rites, much less the Shrine. About three out of four eligible Knights Templar and Thirty-second Degree Masons become Shriners.
Drawing it’s members exclusively from the Shriners but not affiliated or recognized by the Shrine is the Royal Order of Jesters, whose motto is “Mirth is King”. Each court of Jesters may initiate only 13 new members a year who pay an initiation fee of $33.13. They report about 20,000 members.

I don’t know much about the Masons. They’re some kind of club aren’t they?

Masons idolize Hiram Abiff, the architect of King Solomon’s temple… But Solomon’s temple was destroyed because he began to worship false gods. The Masons believe that Hiram Abiff, is worthy of praise because he kept silent about the origins of his craft, (which he reportedly learned from the Jinn -where his father and their whole race come from) ultimately leading to his own death. …but Hiram Abiffs death is not comparable to Jesus’ crucifixion, and Hiram should not be worshipped, unless one wishes to fall into the same trap that King Solomon fell into, which resulted in the destruction of Jerusalem and the complete loss of 10 Jewish tribes that have never been accounted for.

Are Jinn like genies. I think I may have read that somewhere. If they are, I can’t believe grown men are actually into this.

Exactly, Jinn is the same as a genie (hence the crazy outfits of the Shriners). As a matter of fact, Muslims also believe in the Jinn, in which one falsely presented itself to Mohammed as the Angel Gabriel… Within Freemasonry though, this Jinn presented himself as One of Hiram’s ancestors “Tubai-Cain”… The descendent of Cain, the cursed and condemned brother of Able.

I may not be exactly on the money here, but from what I understand, “tubai-cane” is the secret code word used by Master Masons to identify other Master Masons.

Well, it is what it is…🤷 That’s What Freemasonry’s all about, which is probably why the Church forbids Catholics from joining them under the penalty of automatic excommunication.

Well being a State officer in the Grand Commandery in the York Rite and only being a mechanic in city civil service I think not

Its amazing the Myths that people still believe about the Masons. Funny every time it comes up I never see anyone post a Grand Lodge reference (ONLY official view) of what they say. They like quoting this mason or that site or even what a churchman writes. Its like taking the works of a baptist a muslim or atheist as authoritative on what Catholics believe.

Can you share with us any evidence or documents issued by The Grand Lodge of England condoning or authorizing this?
I told you about Nathan, Albert, and William above. Catholics are not to become Masons, and Masons wish to see the destruction of the Church.

Who said all Masons supported the KKK? I know I didn’t. They still support the subversion of the Church, and that will lead to it’s ultimate destruction.
