Beekawz a good Pokemons iz wurth repeetins:

MOAR prufe dat teh Pokemons iz EEEBILLL!!! 😃
Many Islamic religious speakers in the Arab-Muslim nations of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt hold that PokĆ©mon is part of a ā€œJewish conspiracyā€ to corrupt Muslim children. They claim that the word ā€œPokemanā€ is a Japanese word which means ā€œI am Jewishā€ (this claim is patently false). One Saudi Arabian Sheikh has written ā€œThe PokĆ©mon craze is a Jewish plot aimed at forcing our children to forgo their faith and values and to distract them from more important things such as scientific ambitions.ā€ (Sheikh Abdel Moneim Abu Zant)
Lots of Pokemons!

Sailor continues to look for teh Pokemons DVD in Japaneez. šŸ‘

Don’t watch the English dub! The whole thing is a complete and total BLASPHEMY! Trust me, the original has tons of toilet humor. If you’re actually willing to deal with that however, you won’t be disappointed (though you might wanna skip the fillers for the most part).

As for the fox (more popularly known by its Japanese name Kyuubi), it’s basically a powerful demon manifested as a powerful formation of chakra. It’s one of the legendary tailed beasts (a.k.a. Bijuu). There are nine in total with their strength corresponding to the number tails they possess. The Kyuubi, since it possesses nine tails, is obviously the most powerful of them all.

There’s actually more to the bijuu in the latest Shippuuden arcs but I’ll stop here now to prevent spoilers.
Yeah after I posted that comment I watched the first ep. of Naruto. I did find a small bit of toilet humor there. What do you mean by ā€œblasphemyā€? Are you speaking on a religious sense or more of a joke?

A bit of both. My hobby is second to my religion after all. :whacky: Basically the dub just plain SUCKS. It only caused more idiots to jump on the anti-Naruto bandwagon (and anti-anime bandwagon in general).

Well the toliet humor in my opinion went further than bleach and I only just watch one episode and a tiny bit of the second. Naruto would transform into this… clad woman. I don’t think even bleach went that far (though one person did mention a character was a lesbian). I expected Naruto to be for kids considering it used to be on cartoon network. They must have cut that out.

Not only that, you remember that show I was talking about a while back? Ginga Desetsu Weed. Well (regrettably) I watched some fansubs and viewed 8 or maybe 9 episodes. For a show about dogs I’m suprised at some of the things I saw. It was pretty violent and had some strong language. It was what this one dog did that made me stop watching the show. I’d rather not explain what he did here due to the risk of breaking CA rules. Are kids in Japan watching stuff like this? How can they be so permissive about the content on their cartoons?

Off topic… do any of you guys think I should make a deviantART account? I wanted to do some manga of my own.

deviantART?

Good starting point

More people here have a deviantART account?

Blessings !!!

I can’t draw worth you know what when it comes to professional drawings. I’m a doodler. I don’t see myself navigating through computer programs that do all that. I don’t see myself thinking up an ongoing episodic story, either.

They do have a minor lesbian character, but she’s out of the closet and then some and gets smacked down. I’m not sure she is a favorable character. The cat lady, that female soul reaper with the big breasts (the TV is always on and it’s hard to recall some names now), and Kon are the more risque ones of Bleach. I do prefer Cartoon Networks lighter stuff, in general.

You’ve summed the reason why I never could get into Naruto. At least the Bleach dub is somewhat palatable…

The dub is OK. Cartoon Network has cleaner dubs and animeseason has cleaner subs than if you watch some Youtubers’ translations…

squad 10 lieutenant Rangiku Matsumoto… I would post a pic but it would probably just get taken down for being ā€œrisqueā€ lol 😃

Is it supposed to be a kid’s show? Just because it’s a cartoon…

I know I’m going to get pile-driven for it, but I object to the name ā€˜deviant’ art. Though I do know several people with accounts there.

It would be nice if there were Christian oekeki boards and ā€˜facebook’ type communities.

Eagleswings, have you heard about ā€œBig 0ā€? Regardless of the name, it’s an anime mech centered around Big O (the mech), a negotiator, his android and a town of lost memories. IMO, the art isn’t exactly pretty but, aside from one brief scene in one episode, there’s nothing to object about it.

There’s also ā€œAvatar: the Last Airbenderā€. Since it aired on Nickelodeon, there’s nothing really sexual. In this universe, there’s always an avatar–a being that can ā€œbendā€ (manipulate) all the elements; normally, some beings can only ā€œbendā€ one element. He/she helps solve disputes, using their abilities. The series tells about Aang, the last airbender, and his journey. The benders receive their abilities from the Spirits and sometimes shamans are used. IMO, it’s best non-anime anime out there.

If you can’t find what you’d like, then maybe you might look into Christian companies for animated tales. 🤷

Thanks. I watched Big O on demand. Not really interested. I don’t think Avatar would interest me either.

Big O is pretty different. It’s a bit slow and the first season’s plot didn’t center around one individual as the entire Paradigm City. The second season is better, I think, but it didn’t do all that well in Japan and only slightly better in the States.

The ending, however, is a mindscrew worth the waiting.

šŸ‘ It’s like anime version of a film noir/Batman.

You never look at tomatoes the same way again! šŸ˜›

It didn’t hook me either until the second viewing of the series. Once you start getting to know Rodger and Dorthy and see the mysteries written in the plot, you might be more interested. Like, Argh said, it’s pretty different.

I think that the Big O is a very interesting series, I’m watching the first episodes, I like the retro futurism of it

Blessings!!!

I think the robot looks stupid, but the story’s pretty classy and there’s a lot of thought put into it.

The mecha theme does seem a bit out of place, doesn’t it? I think it’s a series that tries to do a bit too much. The idea behind the mecha/megadeuses and all that is good, but the action is kinda lackluster. I really like how it’s a very dark art deco theme (Batman the Animated Series ring a bell?), how the robots aren’t magically powered (they have gears and pistons galore), and the various motifs (tomatoes, memories, etc.).

The mechs are probably no more out of place on that show than Halloween 3 (or whichever had the Silver Shamrock paranormal brain frying Halloween mask factory). : D

I think mechanical machines, though not bipedal robots, except maybe toys, were tried in the past. I don’t know how many sci-fi films from the '40s and '50s till now had gears you could see. You can see spider mechs and other mechanical machines people made in recent years on youtube. Someday, one may make a giant robot and I hope he/she’s on our side. LOL.
