You need to watch this video.
No I don’t.
It was researched and presented by a Christian theologian and it asks some very relevant questions which Christians really should try to answer for their own sake and not for anyone else.
Don’t believe everything you see in a video. What you should do is look around at real life and at the violence and injustice spawned by Islam. Look at the lack of evidence for Mohammed’s revelation and question the reason for burning the Quran and substituting Usman’s word.

Sincerely,

De Maria

The Qur’an is the literal Word of God.
Really? How can you prove that? Because Mohammed said so?
Since God was indeed there when this alleged crucifixion
Since Mohammed wasnt’ there and you can’t prove that the Quran is the Word of God, I choose to believe the Church whose Scriptures were written by eyewitnesses to the event.
took place, Muslims therefore have no problem at all accepting His own account of it as written in the Qur’an.
Because Muslims are very gullible. You choose to believe based on blind faith in a man who, by his own admission, taught that lying was a virtue and that he would change his revelation to suit his pleasure, especially when it came to having sexual relations even with othe men’s wives.

Sincerely,

De Maria

There was no valid Bible at the time of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)… and for that matter, even at the time of Prophet Jesus (pbuh).

Muslims believe in the Gospel of Jesus.
In other words, you have no proof to the charge that the Bible was corrupted. The burden of proof is on Islam. Islam claims that the Bible was corrupted then they must provide a copy of an uncorrupted Bible that predates the copies we have today.

However, all that Islam can produce is the unconfirmed, uncorroborated report of a man who claimed to see an angel. A man who changed his revelation to suit his desires and a man who preached the virtue of lying.

Sincerely,

De Maria

If u assert that the Koran is the literal word of God, on what evidence do u based this belief?
There is indeed an objective method to test and ascertain the veracity and divine origin of the Qur’an… or any other scripture for that matter.

You need to read the whole thread however in order to examine all the evidences provided.

Your video just proves that Christianity is not afraid of criticism. Can u supply videos critical of Islam?

If not, why not?

The Qur’an is the literal Word of God.
If that were true then you’d not have Muhammed as the speaker of the ‘word of god’.
And the Koran opens up with Muhammed’s words…
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
[1.1] All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
[1.2] The Beneficent, the Merciful.
[1.3] Master of the Day of Judgment.
[1.4] Thee do we serve and Thee do we beseech for help.
[1.5] Keep us on the right path.
[1.6] The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray.

Else you’ve got your god Allah praying to keep ‘us’ on the right path
Since God was indeed there when this alleged crucifixion took place, Muslims therefore have no problem at all accepting His own account of it as written in the Qur’an.
But your god claims he deceived people!

Anyway, there’s some great circular reasonings in the Koran…
[50.1] Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah.)

Looking at it objectively, I tend to place a lot more credence to the writings of the disciples who did witness the event than the alleged accounts (remember that none of them actually wrote the canonical gospels) of those who did not witness the crucifixion.
So if a book turned up called “The Gospel of Jesus” then by *logic *(ironic you’re using that term in this type of argument) you’d be more willing to believe that because Jesus was even more closer to the events.

And of course you’d not be looking at all to see if the book was actually written by that person… which is what you’re doing with respect to these other gospels - you’re clinging to them simply based on their titles.

The Koran has plenty of contradictions in it
  • ‘there is no compulsion in religion’ (S- 2.256) contradicts (S 47:4; 2:191; 4:74-77) which states conversion of unbelievers should be compelled by the sword. The Sura 24:54 contradicts again by saying the conversions should be done by peaceful means.
  • Is it not Islamic to accept that only Allah is worthy of worship? Then why did the Koran state that Iblis or Satan was cast out of heaven for refusing to worship Adam (S- 2:34; 7:11-13; 38:72-77). So either u can worship only Allah or Allah and his creations. Which is it? If u worship only Allah then is not Allah wrong to cast out Iblis for doing what is right? That’s one hell of a contradiction to me.
  • Alcohol is not permitted to Muslims (s- 5:92, 2:219). So does Allah offer wine as a reward for muslims in the afterlife (S- 47:15; 76:6; 83:25)? Is alcohol forbidden or not?
  • (S-4.3) marry up to 4 wives, but (S - 4.129) says u can’t be fair so marry one. One wife or 4?
  • Will christians and jews go to hell? (S- 3.85, 5.72) says yes, absolutely. (S - 2.62, 5.69) says that these folks have nothing to fear and nothing to grieve.
  • what did Allah use to create man? (S- 25:54, 24:45) water; a clot (S-96:12), clay/mud (S-32:7, 38:71, 55:14) or dust (S- 30:20, 35:11). Why can’t Allah seem to remember what he used to make man?
By your own condition, the Koran cannot be the literal word of God because it contradicts itself.

Already, in these forums we have identified many errors in the Quran and we haven’t even gone through the whole Quran. I’ll just mention one which we discussed recently, the Quran says that Mary is part of the Holy Trinity. Clearly, the Quran fails the test.

5:116
And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: ‘Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?’ "

with the example of crucifixion, if the Quran is the literal word of Allah then Allah must be a gnostic.

“The Quran is preserved and the earlier Revelations are corrupted” (Islamic mantra). In that case, Allah is either weak or he is unjust. That is the only explanation for his preservation of the Quran and letting people corrupt his previous Revelations.

Which deity are you preaching? a weak one or an unjust one? you cannot tell us your deity is all-powerful and just when his deeds are childish to say the least and who show anything but justice and power.

there are people who conveted to Christianity from Islam. They used to believe what you believe in sincerely, but they converted, sincerly. Allah always fails his subjective arguments no matter how much you want to present them as objective. It is US who decide if the challenge is met or not because the challenhe is for US, not you, since you are automatically called kafir if you believe the challenge is met. Which proves that your deity was unable to give a book that all people find miraculous.

Oh …on top of it he’s quoting the apostle Paul .
hamba2han; the guy’s unintentionally funny. I don’t think he means to be, that is.

I like the fact he assumes that a book entitled something like “Gospel of Peter” must be more accurate, 'cause Peter was there.

No where does he show that said book was actually written by Peter

but am willing, for argument’s sake, to say it was the apostle Peter or John who wrote it . Is Hamba willing to accept everything they say or as usual, pick and choose as Muhammad did? isn’t it fascinating that even the apocrypha bears witness against Muhammad? isn’t it fascinating that the apocrypha says explicitly Jesus is God yet we reject it? isn’t it fascinating that the apocrypha mentions nothing of Muhammad or his teachings?😉

Well he wanted to accept Barnabas - becuase it predicts Muhammed. He reeled back though when I said it might show that Jesus was substituted on the cross.

There are numerous prophecies to be found in both the Old and New Testaments that foretells the coming of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The following two links should provide a better understanding of these Biblical prophecies

The first article is an overview of some of these prophecies.

The second link offers a more detailed explanation of the Biblical prophecies foretelling the coming of the awaited Last Prophet i.e. “the Himda (Ahmed) of all nations”.

"Certainly, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who are Pagans, and you will find the nearest in love to the Believers (Muslims) those who say: “We are Christians.” That is because amongst them are priests (Men devoted to learning) and monks (men who have renounced the world), and because they do not behave proudly. And when they listen to what has been sent down to the Messenger (Muhammad), you see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognize the truth. They say: “Our Lord! We believe; so write us down among the witnesses. And why should we not believe in Allah and in that which has come to us of the truth (Islamic Monotheism) and we wish that our Lord will admit us (in Paradise on the Day of Resurrection) along with the righteous people?” So because of what they said, Allah rewarded them Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise), they will abide therein forever. Such is the reward of good-doers. But those who disbelieved and denied Our signs, they shall be the dwellers of the Hell-Fire."… (Holy Qur’an 5:82-86)

How’d they manage that when you say the Jews corrupted the message?

Why are you quoting St. Paul?

Dear Porkscratchings, If you want to measure the value of your head, you are welcome to produce a video critical to Islam. Perhaps, you can share the apartment of Salman Rusdhie. (Just Kidding…pal:D )
