Sometimes same questions are asked to different posters. Some answers lead to further questions that i hope will lead to the truth. Most of the time they don’t since the answers are not forthcoming.
Hi JA4T1T, :tiphat:
You are just playing around! Searching for answers RIGHT! I love your “flights” of fantasy :takeoff: Sorry, I always wanted to use that smiley.
What church was Jesus and Paul referring to here? It was not the Roman Catholic church since it did not exist then.
One thing for sure, it wasn’t a Protestant one now was it? Hahahaha!
The Bible is the ulimate authority since they alone are inspired-inerrant Word of God. No pope or church can claim to be inspired-inerrant for the mere fact the church is made up of fallen men and has erred.
You can know they are inspired and inerrant because the CC said so!. We can not err in matter of Faith because the HS guides His real church. Thank God for His One Holy and Apostolic Church! Now, If Jesus is the head how could we be in error? Is Jesus wrong? Did He lie? How can you explain what He said about the church verses your opinions? Could Jesus be wrong? Are you confused, I meant more than normal?
Evidently the HS must have been at work. How we don’t know.
We know! Our bible tells us how. Did your group remove that from scriptures that you “borrowed” from us? Don’t you interpret it that way? Do you believe in the HS? Is the HS lying? Could the HS actually still be working to guide and protect the CC from attacks from all the imitation and counterfeit denominations?
Problem is that the qualifications of a bishop was that he was to be married. Unmarried clergy is unbiblical.
Is it? Why would that be So? Couldn’t a bishop be married to the church? The Body of Christ is the Mother Church! Why do priest and bishops wear wedding rings? When Protestant ministers marry are they committing adultery? Is your denomination part of the Body of Christ? Is your minister committed to your church?
The previous comment clearly shows that the church has.
Yawn! :coffeeread: It does? How? where does it say that in scripture? If Jesus gave us authority in all things and we wrote them down, how can we be wrong when we explain what we wrote? Could we have written it down wrong? Is it written in the Bible that we wrote things down wrong? If not did we?
How would you know since your church has interpreted less than 20 verses?
And you know this how?
Oh, you did call the Vatigan and asked some questions? Did you tell the Pope I sent you? I was there when he came to the USA. Did he remember me? I yelled “Heiliger Vater, Herzlich willkommen in Amerika! Wir lieben Sie! JA4 scherzt nur Sie lieben wirklich unsere Kirche!” Did he remember? Did you order a Vatigan Coffee Mugs or T-shirt? They now have Vatigan Beer steins and Mugs. Did you order one?
Here is how the Catholic Ency defines the term:
“Penance is…for the same.”
Where in the NT do we see any priest (no such office in NT times) or anyone giving some kind of absolution?
We know what the encyclopedia says. Does the Protestant encyclopedia say different? Do you even have a encyclopedia? If you did would that be part of your Sacred written tradition? Are your guys going to "Borrow: our encyclopedia? Remember what happened when you borrowed our scriptures? :tsktsk: Do you think Jesus wrote the encyclopedia?
Jesus was the first Priest. Didn’t he forgive sins? Priests are Apostilic successors and unlike Protestant ministers. And as such they are acting in Jesus’ place. Do you think Jesus wrong to forgive sins? Did He sin when He did? Couldn’t He allow the Church do forgive people? Can’t your sins be forgiven? Aren’t you due for a shift change?
Even you admit your church does not know what happened to her. That does not mean she was assumed. For that claim to be true you would need eyewitness accounts from the 1st century. Secondly, we don’t know what happened to a lot of people in the Scriptures either. Should we assume they were assumed to?
He never said that. Our church actually know that the Blessed mother was 63 years old when she died, She was taken up into heaven body and soul. It is written in our Sacred Oral Tradition You know the proper procedure to obtain that information! Don’t play with the Blessed Mother. Be careful you are stepping on Holy Grounds!
Hail Mary Full of Grace, Mother of God! Please ask your son to forgive those who say and think unkind things about you. His true followers realize your heart is full of love for all other creatures. Please let some of your love pour into the cold empty spaces in the heretics chests and fill them with the love both you and your Son pour out onto the Catholic Church. We ask this through your only Son, our savior Jesus Christ who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever . AMEN
Since the church does not infallibly interpret the Bible you must do so on your own and you cannot be certain your interpretation is correct since the church has never interpreted the Scriptures infallibly. You are in the same position as a Protestant.
It does! We don’t! We are! It has! You knew that!
However in your case that statement would be true. Your church doesn’t have the authority to interpret the Bible so you have no other choice.
If you insult us one more time by saying we are in the same position as a Protestant we will hunt you down.:slapfight: It won’t be nice!:crutches:
