But if they don’t want to listen, I’d turn away and wouldn’t waist my time on them, as said in Luke 9:5 and others: “When they don’t want to listen, shake the dust off your feet when you leave them, as a testimony against them.”

Bruno,
My good catholic friends here could learn from you!. They believe it is “Christian” to bang you head against the wall over and over in attempts to teach these heretics.:banghead: I say like you and Jesus, let them go to Hell!:bigyikes: That is exactly What Jesus Would Do! 👍 We have a saying WWJD in the USA. Do you have the same in Germany now? I think of that before I act . Many are suprised when they challenge me and I say , “Well Jesus would agree with me so whose side are you on? The right or the wrong?”🤷

I very often indeed, face the problem, that even some Catholics are terribly narrow-minded as far as they ever so clear things of Jesus words, missinterpret in an appalling way. In that case it’s harder to tell them, then to complete non-believers, for stupidity and narrow-mindedness is a disastrous illness, “even Gods fight against all in vain”*. But even if they die asininely, they’ll see the truth finally and slap their forhead.

Yea, I find the "rightst in any group to be “wrong”. Moderation in all things. It is OK to attack your neighbor’s ideas, just don’t attack him! Discuss, Don’t agrue. Tell them the Truth, don’t lie and say: “Well you are a Christian so you will go to heaven.” Tell them: “I believe that you may go to hell if you don’t turn away drom the evil one and his ways and follow the true churdh”
That is being a real Christian. A real follower of Christ. I tell people they have to EAT the real body and DRINK the real bloodof Christ to be saved. Jesus told them that! They still deny it! So I say well you have been told, now you deserve to go to hell!
Have a nice trip! And I leave them alone. There are those that want to be saved, they are just looking for the way!

God Bless
  • could anybody tell me, how that word is properly said please.
Pronounced like the word: pain. The V is soft unlike German, more of a soft W sound.

Tony my brother were you drunk? 😃
AS JA4 would say: “Not sure what you are saying. Can you clarify?”🤷

Hey don’t yell, my head hurts “sand” , on another thread, is driving me crazy! :banghead:

Vivat Jesus! :knight1:
You might want to stay on the abortion issues than getting into discussions on the Scriptures—:banghead:

You might want to stay on the abortion issues than getting into discussions on the Scriptures—
Hey, my friend! Thanks for the advise. 👍
Yea, I actually wish I could! So many babies are being murdered, with the help of their own Mother! She should be their “first” protector! My God My God why have you forsaken the Little children??.Oh, how very sad! May both our Gods save all our souls for allowing it to happen!

When I try to stop helping the blind, such as you, I am reminded of the quotes from Jesus contained in both Matthew 15 and Luke 6. In both of them Jesus responds to a question about the Pharisees saying: “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. :christmastree1: Let them alone; they are blind guides (of the blind). If a blind person leads a blind person, both will fall into a pit.” :blackeye:

That is how it is.Of course, you realize that He was talking about all the counterfeit denominations that would arise. Heretics such as you, in the midst of your own ignorance, thinking yourself wise and learned, go aimlessly hither and thither, like the blind led by the blind. But,lucky for you, we as your loving  brothers and sisters, being taught the true interpretation of the Bible, must attempt to save you and the rest of them from the clutches of the evil one. We owe it to you! It is our duty, it is our mission!

Now go and try to sin no more! :sad_bye:

brother in Christ jak4, you might Need to butt Your head against a Solid wall :banghead: a few times to quote the Bible, Correctly:bible1: , not ‘scripture’. Your ‘scripture’ readings hit us way differently:manvspc: than the Bible, sometimes. 🤓

Tony, Wouldn’t the correct salutation be:
Stepbrother or sister in Christ JA4?
Now you know they don’t have the CC to help them interpret the bible.:whacky: How can you expect them to do that? :ehh:

Be more Christian towards them! Some of them that use the screen name Justasking4 are nice people. Don’t judge them all because of a couple of nuts!

Remember there but for the grace of God goes you and I!
:bigyikes: Boy, that was a scary thought. Damned for all eternality because we didn’t listen to the truth! :doh2: How dumb would we be?

I love JA4  We need some comic relief once in a while! :flowers:

The Bible is a “Catholic Book”, therefore, everything in the Bible, in one way or another supports Catholicism.

Ignorance of Catholicism is ignorance of the Bible.

Your thoughts?
Uh - no.

No author of the Bible was Catholic, or had even heard of the Catholic Church.

All authors of the Bible were Jewish, more or less.

There are biblical scholars who are extremely knowledgeable about the Bible and know relatively little about Catholicism.

**Please match Acts 11:26
…and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were CALLED CHRISTIANS first at Antioch.

If we read the Acts beginning at 11:11 and the St.Pauls letters, we learn; there where Jewish Christians as well as Heathen-Christians.
So, the Bible was of course written by Christians (converted Jews and converted Heathens – never by Jews!)
In the contrary, Jesus was accused for blashemy.

And match in biblical literature: “The Catholic Letters”
After them the Name Catholic arouse for the Church of Jesus Christ in the meaning of universal: …the seven so-called Catholic Letters (i.e., James, I and II Peter, I, II, and III John, and Jude) were among the last of the literature to be settled on before the agreement of East and West in 367.

Qute=onenow1,Hi,Again Snow; How true couldn’t have said it better myself !most of them know very little about Catholicism:sad_yes:

Peace,onenow1

**We often hear the word:
“All authors of the Bible were Jewish, more or less.”

If Jews had written the NT, they would have been lawbreakers and blasphemies at that time just as today.

To be Jewish, means to belong to a certain religion – as today people who are at home in Israel, are Israelis, but not necessarily have to be Jews (or more or less Jewish), neither from Religion nor origin. There is no Jewish Nationality today as 2000 years ago.

Jesus was a Jew as far as religion is concerned, - otherwise He was Galilean; but He brought us the new contract between God and us, the New Testament, which differs in it’s consequences a lot from it’s predecessor, the Old Testament. Namely in that way, that Jesus Himself was the Messiah the Jews as God’s own and chosen people, expected to come.
Those Jews from different areas of those days “Palestine” that covered parts of today’s Syria and Jordania, who believed Jesus to be the Son of God, where mostly formerly Jews, but they where no longer Jews (by Jewish law - neither by their own thoughts), when they recognised Jesus as Gods Son - which Jews named blasphemy.
Jews, Romans and others, called them a blasphemous Jewish sect, persecuted by both Romans and Jews. They where - and with Saint Paul they became officially; an own religion – called Christians after CHRIST named such long before Matthew 1:16. Many call therefore an exact time; 49 AD when the heads of the movement for Christ, the Christians around St. Paul, announced the direct favourable reception of anybody, without the indirect way across Jewism and circumcision (see also Romans 2).

So it should be clear, that the Bible as far as the NT is concerned, definitely was NOT written by Jews, but Christians, no matter what they where before 🙂

Just as wrong would be to say:
“No author of the Bible was Catholic, or had even heard of the Catholic Church.”
as Jesus Christ had founded His Church long ago on St. Peter.
But we had that theme a while ago and even several times. As well as why this Christianity was called Catholic.

Nope, it is a Roman Catholic book, because it was the Roman Catholic Church and Roman Catholic Popes who approved it…right?

Nice try but wrong…please try again, thank you. 😃

Peace
I agree but I am wondering why you think that the other Catholic rites are should not be included… If that is what you are saying??

Or in other words, what do you find disagreeable about the other rites?

Yes, but who needs comic relief, or even questions, with us 3 around???:juggle:

And, filling in for Stepbrother JAK4, what scriptural, or even Bible quote do you have for any of us 3 being damned all eternity for not listening to the 103,487 truths on this great Web? :pshaw: :onpatrol:

Very Very well stated again, Freunde Bruno. Am thinking, start New thread: Christianity first 2 centuries. Sure was Not Bible preachin (Was None)
Grus Gott.

i can understand that. Looking carefully at what the Scriptures say and comparing them what the church teaches would me butt my head against a wall if i was catholic to…👍

i am having problems when my “friends” make fun me of me–👍 :extrahappy:

i agree that Christ gave His apostles authority. The problem is with those that came after them and claimed things that can’t be supported by the apostles…

Boy! They better not do that while I am around ! You tell me or Sailka who they are, we will set them straight! :manvspc:

Oh, I just thought. Is it some of the “others” that use the screen name Justasking4?? Can you escape? It isn’t fair for people to make fun of you. Is it because you are ugly? I hear that dumb people sometimes are ugly also? Oh, I didn’t mean that like it sounded. Of course, I meant it with all christian love and concern!

i agree that Christ gave His apostles authority. The problem is with those that came after them and claimed things that can’t be supported by the apostles…

Yea, I know exactly what you are talking about! But lucky for us.They only came the last 500 years or so. Don’t worry the real church has a list of all 33,000 of the counterfeit denominations and their additional 28,000 imitation subdenominations and a list of all 1,385 different beliefs they profess!.

Boy, I Thank God,that I am with the real church. What a mess they have following the devil, attempting to trap souls for their master! It is really scary!

Hey, I have a question for you ~ If you called a Dog’s tail a paw, How many paws would the dog have?

A catholic would say Four, because no matter what you call it: a tail is a tail;👍 .

Some Protestants would say, Five! :ehh:
Others; three because they only believe in the trinity. :hmmm: Others would say they had no idea, it wasn’t on the list they were given or in the Bible they “borrowed” off the real church. :imsorry: Some Protestants would ask what is a dog?
many would look for a dog in the bible, to see how many paws the bible said one had!
Of course, the dyslexic Protestants would start to worship it! :rotfl:

i can understand that. Looking carefully at what the Scriptures say and comparing them what the church teaches would me butt my head against a wall if i was catholic to…👍
Apparenty this has nothing to do with being Catholic, but everything to do with being ja4.
justasking4 said:
If the inspired-inerrant Scriptures are not the complete message from God then what else is inspired-inerrant? ( If there is a message from God outside it would have to be inspired-inerrant)Do you you have some specific examples from Sacred Tradition that your church calls inspired-inerrant?

The Passion of the Christ is not totally accurate biblically if this is where you are getting this idea.

The “boundary” are what the Scriptures teach and say. It alone is revelation from God and there is no other. To go beyond what is written is to speculate.
If the only revelation we have from God is the Scripture, and it is not totally accurate, where does that leave us? 🤷
