I have no idea why. 
The point of the thread is, so long as your context is not set by a couple of hypnotized LDS Mishies, and you know your faith, wading through the book of BS will not adversely affect you. You might derive great satisfaction from throwing it across the room. If you “accidentally” throw it away or burn it, remember that you can try again to read it from the safety of the internet. I recommend sites that are not LDS-controlled.
It may even give you insights on how NOT to be. When you look at the “anti-Christs” of the BOM, you can also understand why Mormons killed and continue to metaphorically kill their own prophets, people who encourage them to use their brains. A stiff-necked people, indeed.
