Can you cite the post# of the person who gave me the infallibleteachingofthe Church?
I think it’s just not expounded on very well. It seems as if the word “psychological” could be taken out and the sentence would still make perfect sense.Yes, it says PSYCHOLOGICAL genesis seems largely unexplained. That implys the Church views homosexuality as a psychological problem, whereas doctors don’t.
They decided to take it out of the DSM because;Yes, but psychiatrists and psychologists, based on the DSM say being gay isn’t a mental issue
Our behaviours arise from the mind. Like depressive behaviours. This does not mean there is no biological influence.Yes, it says PSYCHOLOGICAL genesis seems largely unexplained. That implys the Church views homosexuality as a psychological problem, whereas doctors don’t.
It’s history. How do you know what psychologists and psychiatrists at large think? How do you know why they removed it from the DSM?
I write this for Hope’s benefit:I think the word “psychological” in this context is referring to behavior, or will, or something similar but still remaining in the context of physiology.
Difficult to get a picture of the whole from one scientific paper.I see one, and I read.
