You come to a Catholic forum spewing hate and bigotry, and we are the hate mongers? Your logic does not work like our earth logic.
I hate and am a bigot anymore kind words for me?

Jesus was called so much more by hypocrites and he said turn the other cheek. Slap me baby:D

Hello, I gotta admit, I do dis-like some of the Catholics here, but buddy, you just seem to want to start stuff with them. Please don’t, your making them generalize about protestants, and that includes me.

What group of Protestants are you? or are you a protestant?

But I do. Avenger was bannedand I’m sure that makes you happy. Um, I wonder what Jesus would say about that. You are the hate mongers. Jesus said “Neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and rend you”, Matthew 7:6. Somebody get some ointment for that burn. You are the swine. Harsh words for those that don’t appreciate someone telling them they are wrong. The Word of God says it and I believe it.
just what “pearls” have you cast out.NONE
are you even a christain?i ask cause you sure can’t prove the book you call holy is indeed the word of God…
forgive them Father for they do not know what they do.

If you have read my posts, you know that I have said no such thing. Rather, I have expressed distress and dismay at your repeated attempts to grossly exaggerate the number of incidents among Protestant ministers and ignore the data available on Catholic priests. I’m not saying it’s a Catholic-specific problem. I’m not taking a position on whether there have been more incidents among Catholics or Protestants. I’m not disagreeing with any of the actual data presented. What I am saying is that you’re speaking far beyond the data stating opinions based on nothing more than your own anti-Protestant bias. To remind you of some examples:

You have not backed up these claims, plain and simple. By allowing yourself to be blinded by your disdain for all things Protestant, you have not only failed to listen to those speaking to you, you have allowed yourself to be ruled primarily by emotion rather than truth. Support your assertions with evidence or keep them to yourself. Personally, I’d rather see us support one another in prayer over it than get in some kind of…contest…over whose clergy has done more evil.

OneTrueCathApos, I must agree with a_mirror_dimly. My brother, please try not to attack others blindly. a_mirror_dimly actually had valid points.👍

Far better to attempt to explain why he is going to hell for being a member of a counterfeit religion then to defend those priests that did evil deeds. They as human sinners, did wrong, they have to be accountable to our God.
Don’t worry, our church is protected by the Holy Spirit, it will survive this scandle. The thing that bothers me is that some more Children of God in our church might be taken by Satan into the imitation denominations because of these priests. Remember 500 years ago when the devil started the protestant religion and look now, 33,000 denominations and 28,000 subdenominations with 1,375 different doctrines and dogmas. This is the larger problem: How to get these people back into the real church that Jesus founded so their souls can be saved!

Pray for the priests, and the Protestants! **

And to get us back on track… The poster asking you “how do you know the book you call holy is, indeed, the Word of God?” Is not asking because he doesn’t agree with you. He is asking to compare and contrast how you and he have come to believe it is so.
He is asking you to explain, specifically, how do YOU know the Bible is in fact the Word of God? Not Catholics, not protestants, not my neigbor down the road… but how do YOU personally KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the Bible is the holy word of God?

Question: Protestants go to hell, right? Just wondering.

the only way to strike a man and retain his diginty is to slap him.i myself would rather beat your type over the head with the bible till the truth finally sunk in…if that is even possible.however with God all things are possible.

I wouldn’t want my child abused by that 4%. In my state if a child is under 18 years of age that’s considered statutory rape. Get your brain checked, because something isn’t functioning.

By their fruits you shall know them

There is no charity in your words. You come attacking the CHurch esablished by Jesus Christ, insulting us. You have contributed nothing to the discussion. You have lifted up one who has been banned. You have yet to ask a specific question about our Doctrine. You only insult the followere of Christ.

Why is everybody an expert?

And, do they have the right to criticize?

I run into non-Catholics Protestants all the time, who criticize Catholicism and have all sorts of opinions on Christian beliefs and why the Catholic Church is wrong about this or that… and yet, these same people, seldom, if ever… attend any church and do not themselves, behave like Christians.

Additionally, many of those who complain about, what is “wrong” with Catholicism, know little or nothing about Catholic beliefs.

Now, what’s up with that?
Regarding never experiencing other traditions, I could also apply that to some muslim/jewish/protestant/etc bashing catholics on this forum.

I don’t have to ask questions about your doctrine. I did my first communion, went to cathecism faithfully, not my choosing, confirmed, the whole nine yards. I am disgusted with the religion.
You are not a follower of Christ. You are the opposite anti-christ. That’s biblical.

Then why are you on a Catholic forum?

but if it was by your pastor it would be just fine then…the age of consent was bought up and the other posters state has different laws then yours.try reading and actually giving a real answer instead of spewing forth vomit.

Because I can:D
Wow, you just made another person to annoy.

Listen, I do not like some catholics, never been catholic, might never be. I am sorry if you are ‘angry’ cause you were forced into Catholocism, but your not the first, and sadly, last, to be forced into or away from a religion or religions. I cannot go to Mass, I’d like to, but am not allowed too. I do not go on Protestant forums and curse them for that, I am glad to be a Baptist, but I am interested in the RCC too, even though it can at a lot of times be very rude on here.

Question: Protestants go to hell, right? Just wondering.
the type that have a good chance of going to hell are the ones like 44pres,whom used to be in the church then having abondoned the truth.
you on the other hand have not been fully instructed in the truth so,you could be termed as ignorant(not knowing) and thus would be judged based on your response to His graces without the aid of the true Church.IOW since i have come to know the fullness of the faith i will be judged on a higher scale then one such as yourself.

I haven’t followed all of your posts, but I did want to say something for your question:)

Who goes to hell? Do we know who is condemned? Can any Christian say with absolute certainty who is condemned?
Code:
Catholics believe that the church CONTAINS all the truth revealed by Christ. The fullness of truth, Christ Himself present! We have the assurance of Christ Himself that His church would always stand, even against the gates of hell.
So, we can take comfort in this promise, that if we strive in humble obedience and submit to Christ's church, we are following truth. Even if we never understand all of the teachings, even if we wrestle our entire lives to accept doctrines that are hurdles in our faith, there is no question that the truth we follow IS indeed, THE truth Christ revealed:) Not just parts of it either, but the truth in its entirety...there for us to seek and LIVE :)

Certainly that doesn't mean all Catholics will go to heaven, either. While the truth is there for us to follow, it is still ultimately up to us to make the decision.
The same is true for a protestant. You can choose to follow Christ, to follow truth, or not to.

The difference, is that the protestant does not have the gurantee that THEIR church is the one founded by Christ. They do not have this promise that what their church teaches, what they believe about God’s word, is in fact the correct, infallible understanding of it. A protestant could be following the truth (in the parts that they agree with what Christ has revealed in the Catholic church… ) or they could be following blatent lies! But how do they know? This, I think is where the term “invincible ignorance” comes in to play. Not to imply that protestants are ignorant or uneducated, but that they just don’t have a Christ appointed, apostolic authority, guided by the Holy Spirit to lead them into all truth.

The Holy Spirit can still reveal truth to them certainly, and does! And the Word of God (in the scriptures) provides the non catholic Christian with a foundation in truth… The problem is that they are left in some sense to read God’s with blinders on… Apart from the revealing light of His church.

Anyone who is not Catholic, may still recieve salvation because of God’s great mercy. The church is the instrument, the body, through which Christ offers His salvation to the whole world! Those who are not Catholic are still mystically “connected” to the body of Christ, the church, if they hold to His truth:)

Are protestants going to heaven? Absolutely…this seems a silly question, because anyone who follows Christ is following truth, and Christ offers salvation:)

Are they going to hell? Nobody knows… any more than anybody can tell if any particular catholic, jew, muslim, agnostic, atheist, or any other person is going to hell. That judgement is reserved for God alone.

I, personally, will strive to follow the truth as God has revealed it to my heart. Through studying His word, prayer, and ultimately His GRACE, I found my way home, to His true church:) I found the fullness of the truth, so abundant that I could never grasp all of it in a hundred lifetimes! And I immerse myself in Christ, and the life of Christ… lived in faith and humble obedience, along with all the faithful of His church:)

I would recommend that any further posters to this thread stay on topic and remember their Christian charity.

Thank you.
