Wow, that’s a misrepresentation of Catholic doctrine and you know it. You need to stop misrepresenting, or this conversation’s over. See my above posts.

And that’s what Catholics believe. However, faith without works is dead. Even the Devil has faith in what God has done-- but he won’t be in Heaven, I assure you.

But the Catholic Church was founded by Christ, who said to Peter (the first universal bishop, or “Pope”) to feed the sheep as a shepherd, and He promised that “the gates of hell would not prevail” against the Catholic Church, and St. Paul calls the Church “the pillar and foundation of the Truth”.

So, I trust the holy Catholic Church built on solid rock, but I could never go back to Protestantism, which is a bunch of divided houses built on sinking sand.

If I die in a state of grace, I will go to Purgatory (to eliminate attachments to sins that one’s soul still harbours) or Heaven.

If I die in a state of mortal sin and do not repent before death, I’ll go straight to Hell.

Is that clear enough?

It is wrong to eat meat? Oh Fridays during lent. We have a ‘church’ law that we follow. But I don’t think it is a sin to eat meat, just to disobey God, you know like you Protestants do when you don’t drink wine like Jesus commanded! You know a lot, could we baptize a cow and make it a fish? I know you Protestants would, so you wouldn’t have to follow Gods laws. By the way, most of your SDA “brethren” are vegetarian because their Prophet EG White (who they are always laying to the side) was, and they worship on Saturdays, that is kind of Jewish! It is hard to figure out what your guys believe. Unlike catholics you amke your own laws and dogma to suit your needs. Currently the 61,000 denomination s have1,375 doctrines. I was wondering could you provide the dogmas your church follow. I know you don’t like to read much so they must be a short list. If you don’t know what your denomination follows or if you are “non-denominational” just pick one of the denominations that your denomination broke away from and tell us. We can try to help you figure out what you believe and let you know, Fair?

Just got back from Mass and while at Mass I confess I thought of you Hank (for a moment) and the thought that came into my mind was that your intentions for being on this thread are highly suspect.

First of all you appeared to be innocent and extremely ignorant and I sort of melted a little and tried to be patient but I did warn you that I did not want to waste my time with people who are rude and disrespectful. I wanted to engage with people who are here to discuss, share and learn. Several of us gave you attention explaining certain doctrines and beliefs of the CC. We repeated ourselves to ensure that you would understand.

Secondly, I then noticed that you kept on harping on the same thing - even when you had been given clear explanations e.g. that we pray for the dead. It became very clear that you were paying no attention whatsoever to what we were saying.

It is now evident that your sole intention is to use this thread as a platform to spread lies and misconceptions in the hope that you might contaminate someone. There can be no doubt about that.

You can have certainty of your current state of being (whether it is a state of grace/repentance, or a state of** mortal sin**) but you cannot be certain that you will have final perserverance to the end. To do so would be presumptive. Things happen. People lose their faith. So we pray now that we will have the grace to perservere to the end.

Your post is so accurate and so true but I do think you should cool it regarding our separated brothers and sisters.

You are not saved by a church denomination. You can only be saved by Jesus. He suffered died and was buried, on the 3rd day He rose again in fulfilment of the scriptures.

He spoke in parable in fulfillment of the scriptures.

He was born of a virgin, in fulfillment of scriptures.

He healed the laim and made the blind to see, in fulfillment of the scriptures.

The laim man begging at the Gate Beatiful was leaping and praising God, in fulfillment of the scriptures.

Anyone seeing a pattern here? I believe God’s word was given credibility in Jesus life and through out the New Testament. Scriptures are being fulfilled today, some good and some scarry prophesies. You do not see them if you are not reading God’s word. The RCC seems to be fulfilling scripture, but you will not believe it when you are too hard hearted to look into God’s word to find what He is telling His church, which is not the RCC, most of you are like the pharasies and the scribes, you only argue pointless matters because the message seems to not fit your way of thinking. We are living in the last days, and God will not hold back His wrath forever. Unless you know that Jesus is Lord of your life, you fall under His wrath. I don’t want any of you to go to hell, but unless you repent of your sins, that is what your future will be. The RCC is taking millions of souls to hell and the people are following so openly that God can’t hold back His judgement for too much longer. In light of other prophesies being fulfilled through out the world, I hope you turn to God tonight before you go to sleep and beg for Him to save you from this idolistic religon that you have fallen so far into. Praise God, He is good and faithful to save those whom seek is face. I have been obsessing the last couple days, bewildered by how decieved some of you really are. A number of verses in their Bible (KJV) contain all but 1 letter of the alphabet: Ezra 7:21 contains all but the letter j; Joshua 7:24, 1 Kings 1:9, 1 Chronicles 12:40, 2 Chronicles 36:10, Ezekiel 28:13, Daniel 4:37, and Haggai 1:1 contain all but q; 2 Kings 16:15 and 1 Chronicles 4:10 contain all but z; and Galatians 1:14 contains all but k. Now I may be wrong, but I have been thinking that those letters: " j q z k "** may be able to spell SATAN in some language! Iknow they don’t in the ones that I speak, but two of them don’t use the aphabet system.One uses logographies, and the other syllabaries.

As a catholic, I was taught by drunk priests who could hardly stand to live. One of them was a chain smoking alcoholic town drunk. The other either attempted suicide or was so much of a drunk, they had to send him away for a few months. His predicesor was gay and left the church to pursue his lustful life style. The replacement of these 2 was worse then both of them put together. Can you do any better then this, Jesus said they hated me, they will hate you. Something like that anyway.

I have seen what the RCC puts forth as leaders and frankly, I would rather follow Christ and take your insults then follow a false teacher who is not following Christ.
